Not that I have anything against Stanford and the new coaching staff, but
now that "The Don" has left the building, well, it's just not same. Add
to that the strange disappearance of one Ravi L. Navi-something-or-other
(I haven't seen his name in so long that I have forgotten!), and well a
trip out west no longer has the same appeal. Heavy sigh.
What to do, what to do?

Now why would CSU happen to be your favorite team?

He's probably still around. I wouldn't discount the possibility that
he'll be in the building. I believe Ravi is still at UCLA, so I
doubt he makes the trip.

By all means go. You'll receive the distinct pleasure of seeing
that wacky bouncing floor and the distinct displeasure of hearing
the cacophony that is the Leland Stanford Junior University Marching
Band. They may not aspire to musical excellence, but they're loaded
with horns so you can't tell due to the volume level. Bring a pair
of earplugs, unless you like your ears ringing the next morning (I'm
serious about this). I'll probably go, so I can give you a pair if
you can find me.

Ah, the Stanford Band... my sophomore year of college my boyfriend
actually crashed a performance of the Stanford band. He dressed in
"appropriate" garb, brought along his horn, and hopped over wall and into
formation as they took the field at Norman High (for some unknown reason
they had a guest appearance at the high school football game that night).
This was after downing about 1/3 of a case of Little Kings.
It was legendary.
