OK...so I moved across the country and now only maintain the Mission Bay Tri
Club's website, but thought it may be beneficial to let everyone know that the
#1 Tri Shop in the midwest (ok, ok...according to Windy City Sports) is
expanding into downtown Chicago.

Check out the grand opening of the Mission Bay Multisport downtown shop at 738
W. Randolph, Chicago, Illinois on February 23rd, 24th, and 25th. So go on by,
check it out, and you never know who you may see there! (of course, I'm sure
Bill, Val, Rich and the rest of the M.B. kids would appreciate any of their
long time pals helping them out :-).

Hey, that's great news! What are they going to carry-will it be a full-
line store?

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Just 7 blocks from work and a quick bike from home (not a bad walk/run
either).

I believe they will still be carrying many of the tri-specific frames downtown
(Softride, Kestrel, etc.), although I'm guessing that Trek and Cannondales are
probably relegated to the Elgin shop (which really isn't a big deal..as people
drive from northern Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, etc. just to
check out the toys.

On a different note...I haven't spoken with the new president, but I'm hoping
this location will also propogate the growth of the club with it's downtown
members. I believe this year's sponsors are Desoto Sport, Cervelo, and a few
others. As one of the largest tri-clubs in Chicago (approx. 100 members),
perhaps this can spawn more group activities downtown?

If you have any further questions, feel free to: a) email me, b) check out
www.missionbaytriclub.com, c) check out www.missionbaymultisport.com, d) give
them a call at 847-888-3340 or 1-800-FLY-BIKE.
