It should be exciting and it'd have been better if it's a five sets
match.

The Masters final is best 2/3. It hasn't been 3/5 in years. So no five
set final is possible.

I know, it was just a wish if it's a Fed-Nad final.

Hello... He routinely changes between these names, there is no kind of
attempt to hide it, been clear to everyone for years.

I find puerile little hater very boring in the extreme. If you take
stimulation from that, who am I to argue. :\

I've never understood why rst trolls find Vari so annoying. Good poster as
far as I'm concerned. I guess Vari's writing is like troll kryptonite :)

Could be Nadal-Murray and Fed-Djoker semis. Even more excitement. Fed
and Djoker have had some great HC matches in the past and Murray, imo,
plays Nadal better than anyone else on a hardcourt, tactics-wise.

Maybe it's because vari is the biggest troll in this newsgroup, while
pretending not to be (a troll).
It's mere purpose is to jest others.

Or maybe it's because Vari thinks (s)he is amusing and congratulates
him/herself as such. When actually (s)he is just a frightful dullard.

I figured the organizers really wanted this and prepared the surface
accordingly. If the surface was too fast for him, like in Paris, they
might have been afraid of a last minute pull out due to fatigue.

It is slow enough that he is a contender at the YEC for the first time
in his illustrious career.

I would love to be a fly on the wall in these top level meetings when they
discuss court speed. Do they go to demos at Deco...watch the movement of
different ball and court combos etc? Is Murray consulted? Is Toni (chorizo
for treacle)?

I'm sure they send delegations to see the surface in situ somewhere. My
tennis club a few years ago opted for sand-filled outdoor carpet, and even
*they* sent a few people to inspect and try playing on it and several
other surfaces before making the final decision.

I don't think the players would have time to check the surface even if
they were asked (and I doubt that they would be), but I'm sure someone did.
