Amazing to read ultra pc male 'journalists' even suggest in his prime Johnny Mac would lose to Serena Williams.

Still for me the most talented player ive ever seen with a tennis racket. Federer is supremely talented, but in a kind of textbook way. There was nothing orthodox about Macs talent, he did a lot wrong, diet and technique. But he made up for it and then some just sheer improvisational genius. Take the following backhand winner in the 1982 Wimbledon final. I cant think of any player with those rackets, balls and conditions hitting this:

Totally different kind of game. Mac's was all finesse. To this day, he gives everyone a run for their money on the senior's tour. If he had better mobility he would be winning everything and he plays guys 20 years younger like Roddick, Flipper, etc. His shot selection is totally unpredictable and well placed. I don't think the modern players are used to opponents like that.

Those guys won slams, were No.1, dominated all time greats
Borg/Connors/Lendl?

Genius has to be able to perform at the highest level no, not just look

If he had better mobility, he was not gifted in that area and it is overall package that needs to be considered.

Mac dominated Connors who was 8 years older than him but he did not dominate Lendl or Borg.

Yes Whisper sneaks in BS rather confidently thinking no one will catch him. He did not dominate Connors either. He lost to Connors at both Wimbledon and US open multiple times. Their rivalry at slams was pretty even

"Dominate" isn't accurate. McEnroe was 20-14 against Connors overall. But it was 6-3 McEnroe in slam encounters, so not an even rivalry either.

Dude, I am talking about better mobility NOW in his late 50s. He was fine in his 20s.

I personally did not care about 'domination'. His tennis was fun to watch and he did things that people had not seen before, he still does that to this day. Just watch some senior's tour and listen to the announcers (pro tennis players) gush over JMac's shotmaking.

yes it cos he the most talented male player to ever play, on the female side reckon it's Hingis, sure Graf/Serena won far more, but they just didn't hit the ball like her.
