Any one that has a family knows how life changes the first two years
of having a baby.

Nice: "Federer’s gifts are such that Novak Djokovic once said that
every ball listens to him...". I think Frew Macmillan once said that
"Federer can make the ball sing."

Imagine if that's all true... Federer tells the balls to start singing
and they actually listen, obey him and sing!

No complacency. Federer shit his pants last year in front of young guns.
He corrected it (perhaps) with new coach.

Let's see if he gets past 2nd round at AO.

Right, right. He's always sucked, last year gave us just the barest
hint of how deep his suckiness runs, and more suckage is to be
expected in future. Got it.

Actually, I got it the first time you Idiots pointed it out, back in
'04. Why don't you have a drink, or whatever helps you relax, and try
to ease your way into accepting that Federer isn't going anywhere yet?
Waddya say, twenty? Twenty-five, maybe?

Have I pointed out already that you're an asshole?

I feel sure it must have come up before. Have you noticed how you only
get lumped in with the Idiots when you *behave* like an Idiot?

In that case you must get lumped in with idiots a lot.

Bah-dump!

I suppose. At least according to any number of ex-girlfriends. But I
find it amazing that you feel your posts earn you any courtesy
whatever.

There is a difference between commenting on a public figure, especially
a tennis player in a tennis forum...compared to your personal insults
towards a poster because someone says something you don't like/agree
with...or good heavens, criticizes your favourite player.

That is why you are an idiot, for not understanding this.

Ah. No, it is not disagreement or criticism that I mind, it's Idiocy.
And I think Idiocy is Idiocy, whether you're talking about someone
close to me, or myself, or a professional tennis player, or a marble
bust of Pliny the Elder. It is the nature and *quality*, or frequent
lack thereof, of your posts that earn disrespect. And disrespect is
all it is, so I find all the sniveling a little hard to understand.

The only "Idiot" here is you.

And no, you are not in least disturbed by what people say. You're using
it as an excuse to be an asshole. Period.

Did I describe myself as "disturbed"? I am, perhaps, occasionally
annoyed by the arrant Idiocy that's come to dominate Interwebs
discourse, but if you thing that "Idiot!" is how I handle "disturbed",
we clearly function on very different emotional registers.

Look, you behave badly, I call you on it. I plan to continue. Not sure
there's anything more to be said on the matter.

Because it does not bother me? People seem to believe these exchanges
have a much higher toll than I find they do.

In my opinion you're behaving worse...Calling anyone who disagrees with
you an "Idiot"...or alternatively that's your group name for posters who
are not Federer fans. Pretty lame.

*Of course* it does not bother you...you're an asshole and enjoy it.
That's the reason you use "Usual Idiots" in the first place.

That's what you don't get: the thing that all the "Usual Idiots" have
in common has nothing to do with who they're fans of, and very little
with whether they agree with me.

And, again, you make a bizarrely big deal of this, for someone willing
to call someone an "ugly/ungracious whore" with no provocation
whatever, not to mention some of the crap you've said about male
players. Given that they are no more, or less, "real" to me than you
are, the scope of the distinction you make escapes me.

Gosh, TinyTears isn't on his whole "who...wittle innocent old me" shtick
again is he? He, along with Dave, is responsible for some of the most vile

Good answer...I was just curious.
I find I have no interest in carrying on dialogue with someone like
TT...and all too often the good threads get hijacked into more of the
same, which limits my interest.

And should we bring your mother with us for entertainment, or is it
just other people's mothers?

You're a hypocrite. I thought maybe you had a bizarre sensitivity to
the word "Idiot", but you're just a hypocrite. Sad and disappointing,
oddly enough.

You haven't improved your reading and comprehension at all during your
hiatus, have you? Which alerts me to make the answer *much* simpler:
people ask why I bother to have exchanges with posters like TT and,
well, you, as if to smack around little alecks were much of a bother.
I answer that I am not sure why they find it a bother, but I do not.
Clear enough?

By the way, "duress" and "pressure" are synonymous, in the context.
"Duress" is a condition, not a quality. Diction is another skill on
which you may want to work.
