Classic example of pundit illogic, about Venus:
"The American hasn't been able to win a Slam besides Wimbledon in a
decade—and while you could say that's a sure sign of impending
failure, I like to think that she's simply due."
Quality logic. :)
Frighteningly dumb-ass illogic!

There used to be a time, many years ago, when poor tennis fans had to
rely on the astute murmurings of "editors" in their various tennis
columns.
Thankfully today we have 'rst', which pretty much relegates those
"editors" to the dodo and the dinosaur bin. :)
Consider: Pre-net medial writing was WRITING, very often a blended
journalism of considered thought, research and investigation... today
you get TYPING as much as writing... mere projecting of rhetorical
stylizing and conversational musings on 'what happens to be current'
or mildly controversial... there's a huge difference between a
considered piece of journalism which identifies a controversial theme
or set of issues and musings which are DESIGNED to merely rouse or
infuriate an attentive audience...

for the CYGS.
Yes, it's like comparing the 80's version Twilight Zone to the original.
Crap v quality.
I like both.
The 90's Outer Limits I liked more.
