we've got plenty of Communism in the US. i'd say the US qualifies as
a Communist country right now.

right to own a property is a "made up human right". humans can't really
"own" things.
they own their body parts but not houses, land...etc.
right to move freely (in a animal sense) is quite bigger human right.
and people are denied that right in many countries, it's dangerous to visit
some parts of this world...some parts of big cities etc.

I am amazed that in spite of all the comforts, luxury welfare and
other support Americans get from the government and the country, they
continue to bitch about it. In Houston, you can get an apartment for
300 bucks with central air conditioning, refrigerator and a microwave.
This would be a luxury apartment in most countries and would be very
expensive to live in. When I came here as a student I was paying 160
bucks a month as rent, sharing my double bedroom with 3 other guys.
And it had everything a student can ask for. Try that in some other
country.

private versus public property is only one characteristic of
Communism. there also is press freedom: US has none. There's
centrally-managed economies: US has it. There is infiltration of
society: US has it.

in a way yes they are. the government bails out the banks who gambled with your
money and then the banks take away your property because you can no longer
