Pride lol. Yeah sure, that's why e.g. people buy guns and not to
use it to defend themselves.

But no, NK won't give up nukes. They are the only reason that they're
not being treated like Myanmar, for example.

Nobody needs nukes on this planet as much as they.

Neighbours, ok relations:

China - a nuclear power, giant they depend on
Russia - miniscule border, but also nuclear superpower

Not so good relations:

U.S. - nuclear superpower, with invasion troops on alert in South
Korea ready to invade North any time.
Japan - formidable former enemy

They need nukes.

They are like a 12 year old Mexican street kid who is pushed around by
gang members, who also pressure hm to join up with them.

Then, one day, he finds a fully functional Uzi, and three magazines, in
an empty lot.

Does he give up the Uzi?

Hasn't he given them up already? After all he just had a meeting with Trump.

Kim won't have nukes anymore in 6 years.
The only thing he can choose is whether that will be connected with wide swaths of his country glowing in the dark or not.

Too late for that.

Trump should take the risk. And hopefully very soon.
Most probably Kim's rockets are not stable enough to reach the US coast at this point.
And even if - with California out the electoral college would change dramatically in his favor.

Was this a dream?

So you see the damage caused by nukes is limited to the location where they hit only? :)

The risk will be exponentially higher in a few years.
The feckless Obama should have taken out Kim years ago.

And yes, if California takes the brunt it is better than all those red states in flyover country where the real Americans live.
