Which album do you like better - In the Court of the Crimson King or Red

These 2 King Crimson albums are way ahead of any of their other albums
in my opinion.

Red is a bit brash and more effective, but In the Court is more
versatile, thoughtful, more subtle and has better songwriting overall.

I think I prefer In the Court slightly. But both are masterpiece of
sorts.

Very funny. Though shall not compare compilations to studio albums. I
am of course talking about King Crimson's Red album from 1974

I much prefer 'Discipline' to either of the earlier incarnation's
efforts.

COURT has the prog-rock sound similar to Yes/ELP that I largely tired
of decades ago. I don't even own it on CD, only LP, which shows how
long it's been since I've listened to it.

RED has only half the band that made Lark's Tongues, supplemented by a
few KC session alumni. Fripp broke up the band shortly after its
release.

I think this one is a great album too. I am listening to it, right
now.

I think it has more in common with the Moody Blues. ELP and Yes do not
sound like each other and none of their albums sound anything like any
KC album. And Yes/ELP had released no material when In the Court was
released.

That doesnt dictate the quality of the album.

I found it weird and not very enjoyable. I hate the vocals too. I am
not into schizo vocals like Adrian Belew and that Talking Heads fool.

I never liked the Moody Blues to begin with.

You miss the point.

I got tired of ALL those prog-rock dinosaurs by mid-1980s, and never
replaced any of my LPs by them on CD, and never play any of their LPs
any more either.

You asked which I like better. I like the 1972-4 KC better because I
still play their music but I never listen to the 1969 band any more
and haven't for 20 years.
