Tomic was out of sorts...didn't really look well, took medical t/o etc.
Cilic played and served really well also.
I actually expected Tomic to come out on top, before the match.
He was playing flat right from the start with no confidence in his
shots.
Cilic on the other hand was playing with all the confidence in the
world, dictating play on almost every point from the baseline.
Tomic didn't look injured or sick to me.
At the end of the first set he took a washroom break that started to
annoy Cilic.
Cilic was up dancing around trying to stay loose.
It seemed like a ploy on Tomic's part to break up the momentum,
because nothing was going right for him.
It did cool down Cilic for a few points because he was upset with the
delay but then he was right back in the saddle.
After watching these two play I don't think Tomic is quite ready to
launch yet.
If Cilic plays Federer like he played yesterday, Federer will have a
really tough time. I haven't seen Cilic play this well in a long time.
thanks for sharing.
wish such report was more often posted here, instead of endless
trolling pro/anti Fed / Rafa / Nole & so on...
You're welcome!
Kudos to Tomic who later said after the match that he was fine, no
injuries or illness. He said he was just outplayed.
