It is true that NZ probably doesn't afford the number of variety of
lesser tourneys available with lower travel-costs than, say, the US
does to North Americans.

What it boils down to is she didn't win anything to offset the costs.

Yes but in the US, we are so cheap, we have to take these players in
our home like they are borders because they (tournament directors),
SAY they don't have enough funding.
