Perfect play until 6-0, 5-0. Damn! :)

Of course the opponent was only Berrer but Nadal was unplayable, he
played super strong. 2 games lost so far...not bad.

I thought we saw one of the best performances on clay in R4 at FO
last year by Soderling. But then for you the crowning achievement
in all of tennis is winning MC 6 times in a row. It figures.

No match played in the fourth round of Monte Carlo against a nothing
opponent can be called one of the greatest performances ever on clay.

Borg in his prime demolishing a GREAT clay courter like Vilas would
count. Or even Rafa destroying Fed in the '08 French Open Final would
be a strong contender for best clay performance.

Borg was up 6-0, 6-0, 5-0 on Terry Moor at the FO r16 in 81...
He pulled it out 6-0, 6-0, 6-1.

Not to mention some of his demolitions of Vilas and Vitas...

I stand corrected.

But it was hell of a performance despite the opponent. Tomorrow will be
more telling about Rafa's form.

That's comforting to hear. I was honestly a little pissed for Rafa
"choking" the double bagel... :-P

Poor Vitas was a regular punching bag for greats.

TT has started to realize that Nadal's terrain is maybe the ATP 1000
(2nc class tournaments) so he is now trying to make them more important.
The Slams are in Fed's bag.
