"I was starstruck. After 30 minutes I was dying. It was one of the
best workouts I've ever had. If it wasn't for her injuries, I'm 100%
sure she could be top 20, top 30. Even better maybe."
(Andrea Petkovic on her practicing with Steffi Graf, March 2011).

Just imagine how many slams Steffi could have won in, say, 2000-06!

" But Steffi, she was one of the hardest hitters that I played against
-- and not only hard-hitting, but the way she moved. ... If she would
have been playing now, not retired quite yet, this would be her time."
(J. Capriati, 2003)

If Steffi had kept on playing until maybe 35/ 36 years of age I think
she would have about 26/27 Grand slam titles now.

Steffi played unbelievably well last year when she went against
Clisters at that Wimbledon exhibition. She was clearly the superior
player and only lost because she hardly ever practices. If she went
into total training mode, I am convinced she could be top 5. There's
no competition! The Williams beasts only won on 'roids, which resulted
in monstrous power. I have also rarely seen anyone age as well. Her
figure is just as good as it was 20 years ago... after two kids!

Steffi really is something. I wonder what she thinks about Andre
getting fat? I bet she's pissed, considering she looks fabulous.

Steffi is certainly unique, there will never be another like her she
really is a 1 off. You can name all the qualities that a person needs
to succeed in sport, or any other sphere and Steffi has them by the
bucket load.
I only hope that she does not give up her German identity and become a
naturalized American [not that I have anything against Americans]. If
she was to become Scottish then that would be ok but not Agassi we
don't want him.
Fuckin Iranian idiot.

Agassi is of Armenian descent and no idiot. Steffi would not marry an
idiot.

BTW, why should Steffi give up her German citizenship?
Scottish would be cool though! But wait, was has she to do with
Scotland??

Agassi is Iranian/Armenian descent, and his old man was Iranian so
that's close enough. And there is talk of her thinking of becoming a
naturalized YANK. correct, she has no connection to Scotland [apart
from visiting the country
to see friends] but at least we would have 1 tennis player to be
proud, as it is we only have that gutless wonder Andy Murray.

She made a wrong decision. Live with it.
