Well my part of the world is where Melania comes from, and yeah,
we very much appreciate sincerity and deplore phonies and sweat
talkers.
Where do you come from, east coast, Hollywood maybe, global center
of fantasy productions? Maybe you can't handle the truth like we
can and like Trump offers it?
But it's not as if we here are that special. Ever red Andersen's
fairytale about emperor's new clothes? It's so enjoyable for
humans everywhere to hear the revealing words "the emperor has no
clothes". Trump's brazen sincerity and willingness to respond to
attackers, tackle taboos, provides exactly that. That's his
evergreen quality.
Most importantly, you are the one who fails to understand this new
world, and its progress. Even Queen Elizabeth had to adapt to
(already outdated 90s) during mourning for princess Diana. Public
wanted her to do stuff that she thought should never be done and
was surprised. But she realized the change was bigger than her
convictions.
For better or for worse, in some ways better, in some way worse,
but this is not Victorian era anymore. It's 2017.
If Trump behaved like a political clone of establishment
politicians, which you expect/want him to do he'd be gone in an
instant. Get that?
I still don't understand how couple of brutal remarks could be
worse and denigrate office more than Clinton having sex with his
mistress there and whole world finding it out, talking about it,
or Bush making up lies to start wars, killing thousands and
destroying couple of countries and societies, sending them back
to medieval age? George Washington also had slaves and wiped
them, but Trump's tweet denigrates office?
Well, I guess you're right, we have very different traditions and
expectations from leaders.
You also have different standards when it comes to tennis players.
If your favorite guy doesn't get full 100% support from the
crowds it's ok that he verbally assaults his opponent's fans,
which were just, supporting his opponent, and which happened to
be his opponent's parents too.
Different examples, Trump and Federer, but let's judge each of
them in their own universe. Didn't mind about the tradition and
etiquette there there, have you?
