Nadal was not motivated to win the FO, and his goal is Wimbledon.
Nadal had the needed matches to practice, tune ups are meaningless, nadal is locked for Wimbledon.
Rst is bunch of idiots, only me Whisper, is the top analyst here.
Roddick....
Tomic......
7543...
Blue chips, spicy chips, etc.

Once more, remember Whisper is not a fan of Nadal. He merely roots for him because of his pathological envy of Roger. Whisper knows his tennis history very well and knows damn well Nadal's resume doesn't REMOTELY come close to Fed in any area, aside from clay.

Yeah, Whisper was expecting an apology from all the naysayers when Rafa roared back and won Wimbledon. I wonder how soon Whisper's apology will arrive now.

Been a while since I posted here, but the losses seem to be piling up for this guy. And for Nadal too for that matter.

Yes, that's the only reason why Whisper bothers to play up Rafa.
That's why for him, every Fed loss in a final is big but early losses
by Rafa are not!
Has he bet one of his houses on his boy Bernie beating up Djoker?
I wonder if he will now start rooting for Djoker as Rafa's glory days
seem to have passed?

How about this quote from you: "Looking pretty good - very motivated too. If he can keep redlining it
he'll be hard to beat at Wimbledon."

No sweat!

He'll just have to 'Dust' himself off and he'll be good as new for the
U.S. Open. LOL!

Yes, if he kept that up he woulda been a big fave to win. I c am to the
conclusion he wasn't going to play that way & probably go out in 1st week.

One thing I notice about modern players is their complete inability to
change their games. I guess that's another drawback of having same
conditions everywhere - tough to back yourself & make real changes. Fed
can't do it, & the others are even worse.

No reason why Rafa can't win USO if he plays the right way. He's won it
the last time he entered, & made last 4 finals.

And was Pete the only that could do it in the 90s ? Why didn't he win the FO? So it does not appear to you it is simple case that Nadal is reach a stage in his career that he is declining as he gets older ? Same thing happened to all players.

But the difference is that now players are lasting longer due to better fitness, nutrition, drugs and technology. Nadal needs to go back to the drawing board and start fresh. He should hire somebody to help Toni with his current situation to motivate him. His team has grown stagnant. He needs to find that spark again and if that happens he will find his fh again. He needs to play more aggressively. The days of his winning matches by grinding away passively are gone. He needs to watch the tape of his final vs Djokovic at the USO 2013 where he was super aggressive (for him.)

That is one of the stupidest posts I have read here.

Has it come to this now?

If he loses early, he didn't "play the right way" LOL !!!

Yeah and Kyrgios can win too, if he "plays the right way" LOL !!!!!!!!!

Sampras was a master changing his game specially on clay.

Nobody can convince him to do that if he doesn't want to

Rafa also made 5 Wimby finals in a row (when he played) - see what
happened next 4 years - not even the quarters, losing to no-name players
outside top 100 each time. Kinda like Pete at FO.

And you want to make this prediction based on his historic form at USO
and not his form throughout this year when he isn't winning even on clay?

Yes. He changed his game in such a way that he lost to
anyone he faced!

If Rafa plays his best tennis he's still fave to win any slam v any
opponent, imo.

Kyrgios hasn't proven he can win a slam so we can't say the same about
him at this stage.

I'm not making a prediction, rather not ruling him out of winning more
slams. Way too premature. All greats go through slumps.
