Nadal picks up low balls on his FH side very easily, still hits with
plenty of spin, power, and placement. This is another of the main
technical problems Fed has in this matchup, along with the notorious
high balls to the BH that Nadal feeds Fed again and again.
Fed must retool for this opponent or play out of his mind. The first
isn't gonna happen. The second is conceivable, at least. Maybe Nadal
will get rusty waiting for a break in the rain? I doubt it.

The only give/play I see happening, is that these players are three
years older than the last time they faced each at RG.
Nadal isn't the same player as then and this might help Fed.
It's a long shot.
The thing is this.
After the first few points of play, it will be very clear how the
match will unfold.
It was the case in 2008, it was the case with the Djoker on Friday and
I believe will be the case in the final, whenever it's played.
If any change(s) have occurred to either player's game against each
other at RG, we will see it/them very quickly.

Agreed. Would like to see what his game plan is. Probably not drop
shots, since Roger Federer's drop shots were mostly unforced
errors against Novak Djokovic. And then there is running around
his backhand to make forehand unforced errors. But I suppose that
he will run around his backhand and try to make forehand winners
out of it. In other words... Federer will be all forehand and try
to make it a short match.
