The coming of the Great One, was foreshadowed by the mad prophet, RahimAsif,
in his eldritch book, The Necronomicon.

Spooky!

Lol...and such kudos would be forthcoming had it not been for him jumping
ship! :)

Tsonga was his latest muse if iirc.

No, he specifically said Djok would win cygs unless a major miracle
occurred. He would NEVER refer to Fed as a major miracle...

Yup - funny how the two players who I predicted to win the CYGS both
came within a slam of doing so the last couple of years. Don't want
to beat my own drum, but I have always had a good eye for spotting
talent...

Incorrect - I said NADAL would win the CYGS in 2009 barring a major
miracle or injury. A flat-hitter like Soderling who had never beaten
Nadal before beating Nadal in FO 2009 (for the only time in his
career) almost qualifies as a miracle :) That is, if you don't believe
Nadal was faking injury to pull out of Wimby 2009...

How many of the three times Fed did it have you predicted it in
advance?

An injury does not qualify as a miracle.

That wasn't miracle....just a good old fashioned scudwhumpin....sometimes
these can feel miraculous, but really they are not. As for Wimbledon,
reading between the lines it wasn't a case of injury that was the deciding
factor for Nadal not to compete, but personal issues. Maybe he had doubts
following his loss to Soderling....maybe even injury niggles....but we know
his family was going through a bad time....and he was "not on this planet"
or whatever he said since.

Nothing to do with spotting talent. I think both guys were already
top3 when you made the predictions. So everyone knew they will win
slams, you just made the extreme prediction. And they didn't do it. I
guess a lot of us could have predicted they came close to doing it...

My post is not supposed to sound as serious as it does, assuming you
were not that serious either :-)
