I think I'm sick of all this already and they're not even married yet.
US media is obsessed.

she's pretty to guys like me. however, to a future King i think her
looks are average.

however, looks are overrated. maybe she's a lot of fun.

it must be tough living in that fish bowl without a partner who isn't
fun.

I cannot understand why anybody outside of England gives
a rat's ass about these parasites.

To be honest I don't understand how people can tolerate having
a 'royal family' at all. Perhaps it is like owning an expensive and
ugly pet.

yes, she is very pretty, I'd go out with her. He USED to be a lot
better looking than he is now, but he has a good personality and is a
nice bloke and you'd probably fall over if you heard his accent. I'm
very much looking forward to the Royal Wedding, it should be a great
and very enjoyable occasion! William & Kate flags are already up in
some shops.

It's about tradition and shit. I don't see royals as negative as lonjg
as they're not beheading people. They're rather like entertaining super
celebs.

Also has to be noted that they CAN influence public opinion during
crisis of democracy, like in Thailand in the past for example.

Well, it IS the country that still thinks the world revolves around
Wimbledon ;)

IIRC, I read somewhere on teh internetz that the Royal Family pays
more in territorial taxes than the allowance they get from the budget,
so they don't cost the taxpayer money.

They certainly cost tax payer money. British government pays the
Queen close
to 50 million pounds a year. This sum include what is called civil
list and also money
to maintain properties own by the royal family. On top of that royal
family also generate
income from their investment and crown land ownership close to 190
million pounds a
year. If you have an income of 190 million pounds I doubt you can get
UK government to
pay you 50 million pounds as additional income so they do cost tax
payer money.

With respect to British Royalty or any country's Royalty all I can say

lot of "f'd" up shit that has gone on since the first Royals were

For me, with the monarchy, it's the sense of the superfluous, the
gratuity of it, that resonnates.

And for many, it's still personal: my only heirloom is a six little
plates dessert set with our royals delicately painted on it. ( I'm
the 5th gen holder of the Bohemia porcelain)

What? The average man in China probably doesnt earn 1/5th of what an
average man in the US earns. Lets face it apart from a few North/West
European countries, USA is the best place to be.

I don't know why people keep whining about the US.

I am not talking about the earning power in China but now that you
bring it up that is one of the reason's that manufacturer's can't
compete in N. America with China. We can't pay our workers what the
workers earn in China and hence the problem. But that is a whole other
discussion.

Yeah....gits cost us 62p each a year!!

>To be honest I don't understand how people can tolerate having

Old money rules the roost in GB....old boys network goes right up to the
Royals. Even our incumbent Prime Minister DC is fifth cousin twice removed
of her majesty. People in the UK are fairly easygoing subjects though....we
like to grumble, but that is about all. When push comes to shove we'd rather
leave well alone....don't wanna change something in case something terrible
happens.

Plus, we have no time to create a republic because we have a full time job
just worrying about the price of our house. The other downer would be that
if we removed the House of Windsor, it would be a whole section out of
society magazines that upper-middle-class-wannabe-airheads would miss. The
subsequent depression due to lack of lifestyle aspiration could grind the
whole country to a halt....one thing would lead to another....there would be
an eventual awareness that in fact all men are born equal....then you have
the whole issues arising from that.....there would be, like, an uprising of
people with an actual work ethic...interested only in enjoying their life
and raising their family in a society free of capitalist fatcats and the
prescriptive 'chain-us-well' laws our superiors like to ruin our lives with.
We don't want any of that here, thank you very much. Our class system is
well defined....we know our place....

I'm not bitte. :\

Disgust for that class system is what convinced my dad that he should
pack up and leave the UK.

Of course there is an underclass in Canada and the US also. A lot of
poor people still believe
in an American dream that they'll never experience. So it's not so
much better here really. Only
difference that I can see is that new money equals old money. There's
talk about blue blood but
nobody really gives a fuck about that here.

why on earth would anybody with a brain want a republic instead of the

Tony Benn, Hilary Benn, Neil Kinnock's family are consider skinny or
barebone cats when they stand next to people like Prince Charles. Of
course dumb ass like you never know. British tax payer paid prince
Charles 2 million pounds a year and he also had an income above 16
million pounds a year. If those you mentioned are fat cats why a man
with 16 million pound income a year deserve an additional 2 million
pounds a year ? And with 18 million pounds a year he paid an
effective tax rate of below 19% and if you care to check that rate of
british income tax this rate is below what low income people are
paying.

Are you related to 'Fan' in any way? Perhaps you are indignant
because like the royals
you are the ugly product of inbreeding. Clearly the only difference
is that you only inherited the
mental and physical deformities characteristic of the royals but sadly
not the money.

So unlike the effete cretin Charles, you must attempt to find real
work. It isn't a complete
disaster however as hard work isn't really the custom in England, is
it?

The people of the USA are taught from birth that the USA is the best
place to be.

It was true of Britain too, but for the most part the Brits now
realize that there may possibly
be other places in the world.

Of course a good imperialist nation always tries its best to fuck the
rest of the world over, so the
imperialist's country SHOULD be a pretty good place to live.

I think their trolling is the product of convergent evolution rather
than shared genetic heritage.
