Nadal looks very beatable . If Murray can take a set then certainly
Nole can shut him down like he did recently in California and Florida.

Nole is now in the midst of a month-long break from tennis and a hhuge
change of surfaces. Yes, he's had an incredible run since Davis Cup
and all credit to him.

But what on earth makes anyone think he's going to beat Nadal at the
FO? He's never beaten him on clay and has never shown any great dirt
game. Yes, he's improved dramatically, especially in the mental part
of of his game. He's not even played on clay this year and suddenly
he's Jesus Christ? Come on....

He's the Serbian Slayer From Hell and Jesus Christ in same package. He's
perfect.

Blah, blah, blah. If, if, if. Meanwhile it has not happened yet and
Rafa is still the best on clay. Why must everybody jump to
conclusions? What difference does it make if Rafa looked beatable in
part of the match today? The bottom line is Rafa won the match and
that is what matters. |Murray had his chances and he could not convert
and win the match today. Players have off days and off months. Let's
see how Djokovic does in the upcoming tournaments before we can say he
will beat Rafa on clay because right now I would not bet the farm that
he will beat Rafa on clay so quickly. It took Djokovic 3 years to win
2 HC slams and now all of a sudden he is walking on water? Baby steps.

Good post and agreed. You seem to be one of the more reasonable fedfans
here.

I think we may both be dead by then. Hey they have to promote him now,
who else do they have other than Nadal and Djokovic to promote? They
know Fed is not at his best and Fed has done so much for tennis but
what are they going to do? They need to sell tickets. What if Fed is
no longer there soon (GULP!)

True, Djokovic needs to be promoted as to keep interest.

They will have to do A LOT of promotion to get that ape image of him
banging on his chest after matches out of my head! I am sure I am not
the only one. :)

Didn't I get you all riled up?
Nole dominated slow courts against Nadal and even gave him first sets
to make it competitive.
While today Nadal looked distinctly average and getting dominated by
Murray on clay of all places.
Remember how Nole almost beat him 2 years ago on clay when he was in
big crisis ?
Imagine what's gonna happen this year with a new and more confident
Nole around ?

It is true but Nadal has to start losing sometime. I hope that Nadal
fans do not get as insane as Federer fans when Nadal hits the wall.
Every player has to start losting sometime, even the very best. I
would like to see Nadal break all CC records befor his inevitable
decline but it is just an idea.
