Me too. I never liked Avatar. It doesnt deserve any oscar except
special effects.

I am not looking forward to it. I wonder whether Alec Baldwin might do
a good job. So I might watch it.
Me too! :-D
Maybe it doesn't, but the thing is that it's the best of nominated pictures.
Hurt Locker deserves it less, much less, imo. But somehow film people
have decided that it's hip for a reason I'm not certain about. Of course
it's interesting when you go and defuse a bomb...but to do make a whole
movie about that...
Me too !
if i had a vote, it'd be for "up in the air." best movie i've seen all
year, but since it makes no political statement, has no chance.
bob
I dont get it. why does a movie need to make a political statement to
be the best movie of the year. Oscars are fraud awards. I liked Up In
the Air but I dont think it is an all time year. Overall I think this
was a crappy year for movies.
Uh, just wanting to look at dresses, makeup and hairdos is a female thing.
or rather a teenage female thing.

i wouldn't say "crappy." but no masterpiece. not avatar. not hurt
locker.
bob
movies are a lot like vintages.
some years you get great vintages and some you don't.
now and then you get a grand cru.
did you like sideways? watched it a couple days ago.
bob
haven't seen it but i will download it now.
