John recently said Roger won the FO open last year solely based on luck
because Nadal wasn't in the final. after this final John said to Rogers
face your now the greatest of all time. this of course was just last
year. Nadal is still pretty behind Roger in slam achievements despite
the 3 slam wins this year. yet John suddenly now says Nadal may be the
greatest based on what he did this year. if anyone gets a chance ask
John why this wasn't very lucky as well for Nadal not having to play
Roger when Roger has been in just about every slam final multiple times
since 04. i would love to hear what John's idiotic answer would be. i
love how John is suddenly now saying how important Davis cup and the
olympics achievements are when comparting Federer to Nadal aside from
the absurd h2h nonsense. how about Federer's 4 yec titles to Nadal's
zero? how about Federer's 23 straight tournament wins. Nadal will never
do that. John never mentions stuff that favors Federer to Nadal. this is
another example of the unbalanced tilt to guys like Nadal who haven't
come close to matching Federer's achievements. i must say i didn't
expect this from guy's like John since Nadal isn't a american. just
shows how much certain people want Federer to retire. i bet Federer
stays longer then people think he will. and even when he does decide to
retire i bet he will play again just to prove once more he was the very
best. it would be a bloody hoot seeing a 40 or more year old Fed still
being able to beat players much younger. just hope im still bloody alive
to see it if it does happen.

I think McEnroe has a sharp tennis mind--sometimes--and that's it. I
think he's still smarting from the days when he thought he'd be a rock
'n roll star--and couldn't do it; thought he'd be a talk show host--and
couldn't do it; and thought he'd be a grown up--and couldn't do that.
He's still just a big kid who's done a lot and seen a lot and whatever
he says about what's going to happen in the future, forget it. He's got
no objectivity, little self control and just wants to be liked.
