Complaining men players are ‘weenies’: Serena
Madrid, May 14 2012, Reuters:
Novak Djokovic, Rafa Nadal and others who have complained about the
blue clay at the Madrid Open are "weenies", according to former
women's number one Serena Williams.

Asked about criticism from Djokovic and Nadal over the slippery
surface on the Manolo Santana show court, Williams told a news
conference that women were simply tougher than their male
counterparts.

"Women are way tougher than men. That's why we have the babies, you
guys could never handle kids," Williams said after thumping top seed
Victoria Azarenka 6-1 6-3 to win the Madrid title on Sunday. "We
ladies don't complain we just do our best. On the WTA (tour) we are
real performers, we are not about going out there and being
weenies."

Dictionary.com lists several definitions of "weenie" including "an
insignificant, disliked person" or "a stupid and inept male".

Ok, let's see best of 5 sets at the majors.

The biggest bullshit of the Open era has been equal prize money for
women.

Yeah...real performers getting 100% pay for 2/3 the work...

And as far as having babies is concerned I'm sure that S. Williams
screams more while clomping
around a tennis court for 90 minutes than any woman in labour for 16
hours ever has.

Serena was being a complaining weenie at Indian Wells. All other times, she's pretty manly--USO against a tiny Asian lineswoman or lady umpire during Stosur final.

Yikes, a little hostile aren't we? What did a woman do to you? Did
you find her cheating on you or something?

I am not a big fan of Serena's attitude most of the time even though
she is the best female player of the last 10 years by far, but what
she said here about the men being weenies and in particular Nadal and
Djokovic who are supposed to be role models as top players, was spot
on imo. Somebody needed to stick a real weenie up Nadal and Djokovic's
asses in order to shut them up.
