grabbed his hamstring in the 3rd set, hopefully nothing serious.

Yes it was rather sneaky of ProfX to slip Murray into the 'top' like
that.
If there is such a huge gap between Murray and the rest, just think
how big the gap is between Federer and the rest!

Can anyone name a match where Murray hasn't grabbed his hamstring,
calf, stomach, forearm, ankle or foot during a match?
No takers?
Didn't think so.
The only time he never grabs an appendage is when he's playing someone
outside the top 30 and he's up 6-2, 5-2.

Hey Uly, obviously ProfX and bob know this and were simply joking.
They're not _THAT dense! ;)

he was up 2 sets + break when he grabbed the hamstring and grimaced in
pain.

Good to hear, Bob. That means Andy won't even make it to the semis to
bother Roger. Ivan needs to administer an ass whoopin' to that Brit
git.

Correct. It's also an attempt to take away the opponent's rhythm and momentum. Much like Rafa being bothered by his knees whenever he's in trouble. They're basically always degrading their opponents by suggesting they can't possibly be struggling against them while fully fit... It's gamesmanship.

wow you guys really are scared of Murray making the semis.
What will you do if he whoops roger 6-2 6-1 6-4 again..... remember
before the olympics you were on about how great Roger was again...
then BANG
now after Cinci you are still doing the same things.... then BANG.

Just promise that you Muzz divers will all go back to sleep when Fed
once again blitzes Andy's ass at a slam.

why ? it was a watershed event. Rafa will never beat Fed in a slam
again.

I find that if one stops running about the boat so much, it is much easier to keep an even keel.....ya know what I mean? :)) Only weeks ago you had written "the Muzz" off as a no slam winner....just pay heed to the more wisened heads around here: Murray seems to have found the path (or *a* path)....but the road to glory is still long....and Murray has a sore leg....and his gps is broken. If he gets his shizzle together, there is every chance he can make it....but there are no guarantees....even for Muzz v1.86.

Most do. But there's no 'expiry date' stamped on his forehead.
Murray's problem is not that he's a notch below Federer, Nadal and
Djokovic..that's a given...the stars
can sometimes align and eliminate these guys...his problem is that he
isn't consistently
better than the other guys in the top10....so he has a good chance of
getting whacked
in any tournament.

ummmm hasn't Murray made the semis of better of like 8 of the last 9
slams or something. I mean Murrays losses since 2010 in slams off the
top of my head. Only one real disappointment against Wawrinka at USO
2010, so he is basically only losing to nadal/fed and djoker other
than at FO.
Moreover if you actually looked at tour win% Murray is like at no.6/7
all-time amongst pro players for his win record vs the top 10 which
was posted here a while ago.
So you are really VERY very wrong on this occassion ... sorry :-(
