It meant a lot to him - but he looked satisfied with silver. He didn't look satisfied losing to Nadal in Wim 2008 even though he had won 5 Wim before then, and would have more chances to win them again. He will never have a chance at Olympic gold. Part of it is I think because he wanted to get in the medals - as he said after the Isner match ("I was treating this almost as the final, now I have 2 shots to get a medal"). But lets not hype up the Olympics too much, Fed is a more decorated Olympian than Nadal - 1 gold and 1 silver > 1 gold...

Well if you think Wimbledon doubles title and singles runner up equals
winning singles title. I don't. Neither did Murray.

The questions for the weekenders at the Olympics are energy level and
adjustment from grass to HC. I think Djokovic faces the maximum
pressure. He was flying so high at the beginning of the year after the
AO and now there seem to be a couple of holes in his wings.

TT cant read body language or he would have notice that murray really want a slam over a medal. Mac interview right after showed that

were not auguring about what the medal mean to Federer, were saying it not equal to a slam point blank. I personally don't care how Federer feels it his opinion. The reality is that winning a slam is the holy grail of tennis.
