Even if Fed gets to the final he won't beat Nadal (and I think Nadal
will beat Djoker). I know the Fed fanatics pray for a 6 hour semi
between Nole-Rafa which Nadal will win 16-14 in the fifth. Fed's dream
semi would be 6-1,6-1, 6-1 over Ferrer or some other clown.

It wouldn't matter in the final anyway. Nadal would still beat Fed
easily in the final. Just think back to the 5 hour Verdasco semi at
the AO in 2009. We know what then happened in the final.

Sir, Nadal and Djokovic were seeded #1 and #2 both 2011 and 2012 RG. So
there was never a chance of Nadal drawing Djokovic at semis...

What matters is how tough Rafa's draw is overall, he's fighting for the
title, not a place in SF...

I am not talking about his half, I am talking about his quarter and
his quarter is a joke, easier than Fed's quarter. The only challenge
Nadal has in this whole FO is his possible SF against Djokovic and
obviously that may be a very big challenge. Even though Federer has a
pretty good draw and he should make the final, he has more threats in
his quarter than Nadal has in his. I am only judging quarter to
quarter.

than Fed... You underestimate his opponents and overestimate Fed's, as
per usual.

Of course Federer is more likely to lose in his quarter... but that's
because Nadal is more unlikely to lose at ANY possible quarter.

In my eyes Rafa's quarter is easy, easier than Fed's. I know you are
nervous about this FO because of the potential Djokovic/Nadal clash
and rightly so, but don't lose sight of the obvious and that is
Nadal's quarter is easy as pie. Stop making excuses for Nadal. He may
lose this FO, eventually everybody loses his/her crown. I don't think
Nadal will lose it this year, but it is possible.

He should make the best of that & reach the final.

"Should" is the key word. This is clown Tsonga we are talking about,
so all bets may be off. ;) Tsonga's overall form has not been great
this year thus far and Federer is a better clay court player than
Tsonga is, Tsonga has no clay titles. It all depends on which version
of Federer shows up here. Federer beat Tsonga at the AO and since then
both have sucked to be honest,so it is a hard call. I think I will
have to go with Fed though. Who do you think will beat Federer in
Fed's quarter? Do you think Fed will go down before a possible Tsonga
meeting or do you think Fed will lose to Tsonga?

I'm thinking Tsonga beats Fed. He's hired fitness coaches etc & seems
to be making a serious push to win something big before his window of
opportunity closes forever. That's a match I'd like to watch. I think
Fed has slowed/aged & not as hungry as he was, & Tsonga could overpower
him at this point in his career. He barely lost to Fed in 5 sets at AO,
& has the experience of beating Fed at Wimbledon which will give him a
lot of confidence. I'm thinking Tsonga can beat Fed something like 76
63 64.

Hell, that's a draw of those players that have done really well during
clay court season in 2013!

...Tignor and Bodo pick Paire as men's dark horse...and no wonder when
you look at who he beat at Rome: Monaco, Benneteau, Delpo, Granollers
(6-1, 6-0) and barely lost to Fed.

While Nishikori is one of the few players that can actually beat top
4... just beat Fed at Madrid.

Then Wawrinka, who made Madrid final and has already beaten this clay
stretch Dimitrov, Tsonga, Berdych, Murray and Ferrer! Or Gasquet who has
always been strong on clay.

If this was a draw for any other player than Rafa - you wouldn't be
claiming it easy, on the contrary you might be claiming it hard...

you are and don't judge the draw based on the player I like the best.
Federer has a pretty good draw, no doubt about it and he should try
and take advantage of this draw but imo, Nadal's quarter is very easy,
easier than Federer's.

You don't know how Paire/Nishikori and Wawrinka/Gasquet could be easy
for Nadal? Well I suggest you go have a look at the h2h's Nadal has
against Nishikori, Wawrinka and Gasquet for a reality check because
all of those players are Nadal's pigeons ffs!

He was talking about the level of tennis played by them. Though of
course when Nadal is at his best on clay most match ups are pretty
'easy', except a fit and healthy on form Djokovic.
