Acording to a Spanish newspaper, it seems like Anelka has refused to train
with the rest of Real Madrid because he doesn't like the way Real Madrid
plays (me neither, btw, but I'm not payed millions). I wonder if this
guy still thinks that he's at kindergarden and can do whatever he wants
to.

Go Sanz!

Really! That's pretty sad. To get paid that much and not enjoy your job must
be really tragic!

Ankela is a little pre-madonna. What an attitude problem. The worst thing of
it is that he actually believes that he is far superior to his peers. IMO,
he is also highly overrated and highly overpaid. The problem with so many
clubs today is that they take a superficial view of the player, it's as if
they are buying an expensive piece of clothing or an expensive car. They
just look at the name.

What has Ankela really acheived since he went to Spain? Apart for being a
big nuisance, not too much!!

Let him rot in the reserves with no pay!
If he won't do his job properly he should not expect to be paid!

P.S. Wonder if his brothers (agent) has anything to do with this again?

Who the hell does Anelka think he is? He's what? 20? I guess he thinks he
knows everything. Seems to me he's going to have a short career.

Well, with the money he is earning, if he doesn't care about recognition
and prestige, I'm sure he's not worried at all because of that.

Actually he said that he didn t care about the money and didn t understand why
they put 35 millions $ on him, and not use it.
He said he was ready to give up the money . He just want to play.

Well, to argue that the whole Real Madrid should change his way of play
to adapt it to him just because he costed 35$ million is a bit naive. This
guy doesn't understand that he's not the star but another player. If he
wants the position of Raul or Morientes (laughs), he had time to get it
and he didn't. Both strikers are several levels above him, and he cannot
understand that. If Anelka is worth 35$ million, Raul is almost 10 times
that. And Morientes, the same.

> He said he was ready to give up the money . He just want to play.

He has been given enough chances. He has scored only 1 goal in La Liga,
when he came here - Real Madrid - to score goals. It doesn't seem to me
like a very good performance. It's amazing that he finds that the club is
not happy with him. And, apart from playing, he should adapt himself to
the discipline of the club and try to integrate himself with the
teammates, because it seems that he only speaks with the french players.

If he would have scored 30 goals this season, nobody would complain. He
could miss some training, speak to the press, critic the coach... but
no. He should remain shut up and start scoring goals, because that's why
he's at Real Madrid, and not to complain 'I don't like Madrid', 'I wanna
go home', etc. This guy is a millionaire high school kid, and I don't
think his career will go much further if he doesn't change his
behaviour. Or do you think any big team is going to risk his money for
him? Please...

Would you substitute Raul or Morientes with him?

Calling Anelka a kid could be a bit of a compliment.

Maybe Hierro should take some french lessons to speak with him ? :-) Or,
better yet, whole Real Madrid team ? :-)

When you have a 35 millions car , you probably want to use it no? Unless it s
a collectible old one!! Not like Anelka.
I don t say he is smart, sure .
But he was injured couple of time at the wrong moment, never really recovered
and had time to melt into the Real.

I really think Morientes and Raul are faster cars.

That's true, but apart from injuries, he has given a lot of problems, too.

It's for situation like this that I thank that there are italians. Those italians
are so crazy with transfers that real madrid will get something out of Anelka

Swap him with Nesta and Sinisa Mihaelovic (sp?). :)

I have no sympathy for Real or Anelka.Real poached him from Arsenal while
still under contract and Anelka left Arsenal for more cash, he left PSG for
the same reason.Maybe this just goes to show money doesn`t always buy you
happiness :)

Real didn't poach him, Arsenal were willing to let him go for the right
price.

Real were talking to Anelka before they had any permission from Arsenal to
do so. That is an offense under European club regulations. The only reason
they didnt make a formal complaint and see it through was because by that
point they were sick of Anelka, and wanted to offload him.

In anycase, Real are the big losers because they paid what ? 23 million
pounds for that piece of shit. I think hes scored 1 goal for them. Thats a
bout the worst return for your money in European football history.
Additionally...they will never be able to sell him now for anywhere near
that amount. He is now well known as being a highly overrated and immature
child player who creates friction wherever he goes.
