Sid, this game is not big enough for both of us. Let's see who has to
go: I bet 4 points!

(Jesus, thanks for the game. And for reminding us of bets without
replies: it's not necessary, so don't do it if it's a stress for you.)

Just a reminder, since I usually post these on Mondays.
The first bet must be made by today!
(Milivella has already bet 4 points on Corinthians)

I guess it's in the game's best interests to allow more time for bets
on Cruzeiro vs. Atlético.
Corinthians vs. Fluminense keeps the same deadlines, but the Belo
Horizonte derby will have new ones, as it's only on Sunday:

First bet: Wed, Jul 8, 9:30 PM GMT.
Last raise: Thu, Jul 9, 9:30 PM GMT or until someone accepts.
Accept: Fri, Jul 10, 9:30 PM GMT.

Sid has less than eight hours to answer Andrea's bet.

Luiz and Bordon have less than eight hours to make the first bet.

I wish to forfeit. I thought that in that case I do not need to reply?
Of course, you
had no way of knowing that. Thanks for the reminder

Just to cross check, a forfeit is a loss of 1 point, yes?

That's what I had in mind, but did not want to reveal it in the case
Bordon might be considering a move. JP, would you like to get a
private e-mail in these situations, or just doing nothing is fine?

(Speculating) An e-mail would be without effect if Jesus has to send
notifications in the ng anyway. And he has, because if Bordon read
"Attn: Sid, Bordon" he would have argued that you didn't want to bet,
so it would have been a revelation as well.

This is a sneaky game!

True! =)

I'm just wondering whether JP would like us to let him know we're
aware of the deadline and opted not to bet (as opposed to not
following the thread). But it would have to be a private e-mail, and
JP would probably still include the player's name on his ATTN post
subject in order not to reveal "privileged information".

That said, it may not make that much of a difference. If a player is
showing up in other threads, his opponent might assume the player
plans not to bet that round (or at least is delaying his decision,
waiting for a move). Maybe the sneakier among us will consider
creating sock puppets to deceive the competition? Hehe.

Abraço,

Luiz Mello

I have no problem with people being quiet. In fact, I suspect Bordon
has done it on purpose a couple of times. It's part of the game.

Dirty tactics? This is getting interesting...
