I don't know why they are so delighted. Brazil's group is the group of
death by far but the England group does not look easy at all. The USA
will not be eay and I can see all 4 teams easily drawing every game.
Goal differential will play a big part. In all honesty, I do not see
England going through in this group. Not even the master Capello can
work the impossible. Englands talent pool is really no better than the
other teams in this gorup. Remember, the qialifying group England had
was the easiest by far of all the groups. With all this delight and
over confidence running up to the WC england will be their own
undoing.

WOT?

Not only do I think this is an expected advancement for England, but
it's an expected advancement for the United States, and, coming from
me, that would be almost a ridiculous thought!!

I guess we will just have to wait and see. If you go BBC.com they have
already won the World Cup there. Over confidence will kill them off.

THAT would be going too far.

But if they aren't popping a couple pints over in England about a
wonderful draw in the group, they're out of their minds.

Every time they qualify, ENGLAND is proclaiming that they will win it.
Nothing new here

Thats true. But, this time they seem to be going too far. Even Capello
had a smirk on his face but Beckham looked somewhat concerned. He must
be worried about the USA game. The coach of the USA has alreadysaid he
is not affraid of England. If you think about it, why should he be???
After all, england my have the best domestic league but england itself
is a rather average team with maybe one ..... maybe one good player in
Rooney. Why England was even seede ahead of Portugal is weird in
itself. England...... out in the group stages.

England has a good team and nothing more but they have a very good
coach. If they make it to the semis and they don't face Brazil or
Spain, they have hope.

Nonsense... Brazil group has only 3 strong teams, meanwhile German
group has 4.

You are an absolute kook.

Cappello has described England's draw as 'not too bad', which hardly
smacks of over confidence to me.

You, on the other hand, have started a thread about Italy's easy road
to the final and how they have virtually won it already.

Do you sit around and work out how best to make an absolute tit of
yourself on this newsgroup, or are you naturally a complete idiot?

I agree. Australia's group looks uniformly the most difficult to
progress from.

The english don't even need to qualify to consider themselves

I suppose the obvious has to be pointed out to the pointy headed:

English press <> English NT <> Pub talk

English NT <> England

National Team (any country) <> Nation

Okay? So the Italian NT are not good at fashion or industrial design,
the French NT are not expert chefs, the Japanese NT aren't all
salarymen, etc. etc. etc.
