I have been very impressed with Marcelo whenever I've seen him too.
This Andre Santos fellow must be pretty good if he's keeping him out
of the Brazilian NT.

So why doesn't he get a NT call up :-) !
PRobably because he is a bit invisible? I dont know, I wasnt
aware how well he was doing till I looked closer just to make
this list.
It could also have to to with playing for Athletic. You need
to play for Barca, Real Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla and the EPL
clubs to get a look in these days.

Add Atlético and Villarreal to that list.

May be true right now, but players like Alonso, Joaquin, Guiza, De La
Pea, Del Horno, Riera, managed to get themselves picked for Spain not
too long ago while playing for less fashionable clubs like Real
Sociedad, Betis, Espanyol, Athletic etc.
And here is the Goal.COM team which has just come out -
GK: Aouate
RB: Sergio Ramos
CB: Puyol
LB: Capdevila
DM: Lass
RM: Navas
CM: Xavi
LM: Costa
RF: Messi
CF: Villa
LF: Ronaldo
Comments-
Formation is 3-1-3-3 and not my 4-3-3. A DM replaces a CB. Always a
bad idea,
just ask Diego Maradona, the coach of Argentina!
No Ibrahimovic. Obviously a ploy to pick Ronaldo, who doesnt deserve
it based
on stats.
Clearly, neither Ramos nor Capdevila have been the best in their
positions
so far, though some may say Marcelo plays in midfield for Real while
lacking 2 CB's, it is wiser to play a better defender like Ramos to an
all-out attacker like Alves.
Diego Costa of Valladolid is an interesting choice, I wonder where he
lies in the Brasilian pecking order.
I had never heard of him. His only club in Brazil was one from the
FOURTH level of the STATE of São Paulo.
Tchau!

Because you would win Fantasy Scout hands down! Let us hope for some
years before taking the top position... ;)
