Any winter transfer rumors?

I don't know what Robinho's contract situation is, but it should be
decent money at least 25m. City are said to be desperate to project
an image that they can handle top players, so that might be a blow to
them. Robinho's supposedly unhappy that his Brazilian buddies were
shipped away. I've heard some starlet called Di Maria from Benfica
named as a replacement. Is this Di Maria any good?
I'm also hearing Carlton Cole to Liverpool.
Critics have been saying we need a top class striker. I disagree.
I'm against a move like this, Ngog is coming along fine, I mean nobody
forces Benitez to play Voronin.
I'd much rather keep that 12m in hand, sell Babel and Voronin, and buy
a proper attacking midfielder, that's left footed. And also,
something that should resonate with Liverpool fans, I'm very, very
afraid of big, strong, hardworking strikers. Let me guess, he'd be
"perfect foil" for Torres?
But if Cole comes through, it'll be interesting to see how it will be
received, and if critics will be satisfied. Benitez will be doing
what they advised, but will it be panned as 'paper over the cracks'?
Not good enough? etc etc?

Liverpool and Man United are broke. Man City's biggest problem remains
Hughes. Robinho is a fantastic player. Spurs are linked with Huntelaar
and will try to ship Pavlyuchenko. If the temporary suspension of
Chelsea's transfer ban doesn't prompt the miser Abramovich into action
nothing will. Milan will look to replace Huntelaar if they can offload
him though they now have three strikers aged 20 or under on their books
excluding Pato. Real Madrid are desperate for Clichy but I don't think
Arsenal will sell until the summer.

Agree, though I think it is reasonable to wonder about his commitment.
But last year he was great.

No way, he is cup-tied, and currently injured indefinately with a back
problem,
Thouth for the summer, with a healthy bid, and Gibbs and Traore on the
books, and the eventual work permit that Pedro will receive, Arsenal will be
well covered in that area, though having said that, Clichy is miles better
than all his competitors, and he is not too older than the others,
I think anything over 15M pounds would land him, and if I could have my way,
wait for the Liverpool situation to get worse, then bid for Insua if Benitez
is sacked.

Strikers, a better goalkeeper and a creative midfielder. Joe Cole is
injury prone, Deco is old.
