Can't really argue with that though he should have won the Masters final.

Never heard of him before, but really, this is just a slap
in Messi's face for his poor performances in albiceleste.

Footballers win this award less frequently than once in ten years.
Since 1992 Tevez was the only footballer to win it (in 2004), and even
he had to share it with Manu Ginobili that year.
Messi won 6 trophies and was FIFA World Player and Ballon d'Or winner
last season. He should have won it had it not been for his inept
performances in the WCQ.

Yah?!? Kempes won the World Cup, the WC Golden Ball, and the WC Golden
Boot award in '78, and was voted South America's and Argentina's
footballer of the year. But some ROLLER hockey dude won this prize in
'78. It ain't a footballer's award. Perhaps no slight was intended.
Could be. ROLLER hockey? Whats that?

Don't be daft. Who played well for Argentina this calendar year? No one.
Football is a TEAM sport. When
Del Potro steps onto the court he isn't representing Boca, River or
Barca he's representing his country. The three letters in brackets after
his name, beside every players name tell you that.
