Not Skating Lately

Well, the weather here in NC has been unseasonable, cold, rainy, a little snow,
and my urge to skate has gone into hibernation. I have also been riding the
mountain bike to prepare for the Soup Bowl Duathalon, a Super Bowl Sunday Pork
Rind Tradition. The race is a two mile flat trail run, a five to seven mile
trail ride (difficult) and another two mile flat run. Coffee beforehand, and
when you cross the finish line you get a spoon with a number on it that is your
ticket to the free hot soup.

Can't wait to start skating a little again, and am looking forward to when the
new K2s come to the US! And to the Athens to Atlanta--think I'm going to
attempt it this year.

O yes, AOL sez they are discontinuing their newsgroup service, so I'm going to
have to navigate in via google. Any suggestions?

Get a real Internet service provider and a free newsreader. Take some
time and learn how to use it.

Googles not too bad now, they keep adding features in what is
apparently still a beta version. Get a gmail account first, it makes
like a little easier I think. You may need to be reffered for gmail,
but I've got a couple of refferals left, so I can hook you up if you
want (you can refer up to 6 people when you open an account).

The only other thing is if you punch in a fairly long post and don't
want to possible lose it, copy it to notepad or something. If you hit
post sometimes there will be an error and you lose everything.

Motorblade, if your in the same position and intend to use google, I
can hook you up with gmail too.

I have a digest sent from google daily to my email of my newsgroups...if I like
a topic i go to the groups page and reply from google...not too tough, I just
don't get my custom signature anymore.
