Replacements can still be ordered from Jackson Ultima (unlike the
blade runners which can not :-) - good thing I ordered the last blades
Jackson had in stock of my size), but they would wear out quickly too.
I am interested in finding harder bolts and nuts that will fit. Say
stainless steel or titanium (something rust resistant).
I believe it uses a standard 10/32 thread and a tapered head, but
something a little smaller or larger would fit through the whole in
the frame too.
The hard part is the nuts, which are a rounded square shape. They fit
into insets. A standard hex shaped 10/32 nut might fit if I rounded it
off with a grinder, but that is too much work.
Has anyone found anything that works?
And BTW, is anyone else making replacement runners? I've tried
encouraging a machinist, but no result yet.
