Somebody who compiled that list knows not what they are doing. Hughes is
not a Jewish name. I, myself, am a Hughes, from my maternal grandmother,
and we are Scottish and Irish. I can assure that there is no Jewish anywhere
in the Hughes family tree going back to at least 1865, and that is as far
back
as I can go on birth records.
