What is New Zealands contribution to carbon emisions? Dropping off the Wallabies on the way home.
Let it go klitty, let it go..
Nope.
Just a point : it's not me rubbishing internationally recognised players
and calling them shit and then accusing their supporters of knowing
nothing about Rugby.
Point in hand : Again Shane does the business. And only last week Mr
Hill was informing us he was lucky in the Lions as he had been standing
in the right place .....
Come on Mitty you know Monye's the man, far better than Williams (remember
those Lions' tries) didn't you see his jinxing runs and tries today?
I've only watched the first few minutes of the game and he did make a
wonderful break and chip ahead. If he did more of that and made the
tries on his own then good on him, I'm always pleased when a little man
does well.
But if he just finished off after others' brilliance, well... Banahan
scored a try last week - did that make him a great player ?
Well he could have just finished off other people's brilliance for one of
his tries. But no he wanted to have his own brilliant moment too. Instead of
just running the try in he cuts inside to go on to beat 4 or 5 players,
which is great but wow he would have looked a right klutz if he fucked it
up.
Not for the Lions he didn't. But then that was vs SA, not Fiji
JH
Wrong M. You meant Moody didn't you, we told you he was better than
Williams in the summer but you weren't having it then.
PS You should write to the Lions Tour organising committee and ask
them to schedule future tours around Shane's (or insert your favourite
Welshmans name) form.

V Argentina, Wales dont play fiji.
Anyway even though Mcgeech said only players in form would have been picked
we all know that was a load of old bollox. So williams was actually their on
merit.
Yes he can't spell
Well, Argentina then. I know that, but they really just stood and
watched
And if Williams was there on merit he would have been picked in the
1st and 2nd tests, at best he was number 3.
But Cyclops vision rather than proper analysis will always win
through.
JH
You seem to hope it will.
But lets revisit some facts rather than listen to your piss poor "analysis".
1) Williams is/was a great player. World Player Of The Year. Record
tries.
2) In a poor Welsh team he didn't score at his potential
3) Lions not awash with great runners of the ball
4) Monye gets a place on dubious merit.
5) Williams get a place based on PROVEN ability not some knee jerk closed
minded idiots opinion that he's past it because he hasn't scored at his
usual high level for a few months.
6) When Williams played for the Lions he played well ENOUGH. When Monye
played he did sweet FA pretty much.
7) In the TEST Williams played well AND scored.
8) In the last Welsh game he played well. And scored.
Give it up. You sound like you haven't got a clue.
And was out of form for the Lions
> 2) In a poor Welsh team he didn't score at his potential
And ?
> 3) Lions not awash with great runners of the ball
Really ?
> 4) Monye gets a place on dubious merit.
In your opinion. He did, on the other hand merit a place based on his
form and his on tour performance.
> 5) Williams get a place based on PROVEN ability not some knee jerk closed

His form in 2008, not in 2009 or on tour.
> 6) When Williams played for the Lions he played well ENOUGH. When Monye
> played he did sweet FA pretty much.
Williams cruised and managed to cruise in for 2 tries, made for him by
talented players
> 7) In the TEST Williams played well AND scored.
In the 3rd Test he scored (see 6 above)
> 8) In the last Welsh game he played well. And scored.
And my Giveafuckometer fails to even flicker
>

Whereas you obviously don't just sound like you haven't a clue.
JH
Clearly didn't watch his 'dumbass' try (or the game?) when he beat atleast
4 players really well. Not many players could get away with that. You can't
argue with his finishing ability.
>And if Williams was there on merit he would have been picked in the

Unfortunately he didn't perform/didn't have a chance to whatever floats your
boat, in the warm up games. Ally that with the coaches desire to pick less
defensively frail players and you have your real answer.

Actually I didn't think he should have started the tests at the time. In
hindsight it's easy to say that perhaps he should have.
You and klitty are the only ones that seem to have cyclops vision what with
having totally the opposite view and unable to busge and see any sort of
reason.
No, he has finished some tries well this year.

Nothing unfortunate about it, he was out of form and despite being
given a chance in every game he produced nothing of note, nor worthy
of a Lion

There was no basis for him to do so. And his try this weekend was the
only thing special he achieved in the last year.

How in God's name is my position unreasonable. On form Williams was
not selected, however good he may have been or may be he just wasn't
good enough on that tour, despite being given many chances by the
Lions coaching team.
JH
Neither did Oconnel and yet..

which is why I said the party was not selected on form no matter how much
the coaches insisited it was. He wouldn't have been there in the 1st place
would he!!

You know as well as I do that, rightly or wrongly, not all players are
always picked on form. His form versus SA was pretty good the last time he
played them, that in itself is a reason some coaches will pick a player.
Exactly, although the make up of the coaching team reflected their
recent experiences rather than real form of players

But, that is not a good reason for a player to take up a scarce place.
JH
Of course it is. Not all of us are swayed by a 10 second burst a week
before a crucial test series as you and some of the "run on" crowd
appear to be.
Williams has proven over time he has the speed and skills to compete at
the top level. And given the chances he took them on the Lions tour and
he took them against the Convicts last weekend.
Your dislike for Williams appears to be based on nothing more than some
anti Welsh snobbery from what I see in your rambling tirades here. And
God knows I'm no fan of the Welsh ... :-; Stay off the port John -
Charles needs it more than you for his lumbago.
