I agree that if he kicked the goal to win he would have washed it all away
but it was fitting in a way that he didn't. His form, particularly in the
past couple of years is poor. The team badly misses Berrick Barnes and they
need another goal kicker with a Dan Carter temperament (yeh, just like
that!).
I also agree that when it matters he chokes. I also rather suspect that the
captaincy issue has caused him to sulk as well. He will remain in the team
of course but whether his influence is good for the younger guys is
debatable, in my view.

game as me you would have seen his general kicking game lacking imagination
