I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Gordon (and everyone else
involved) for their running and taking part in the tipping competition.

And thanks to Gordon for all his good work over however many years. I only
wish I was in a position to help out in the future.

So, raise your glasses (especially if you were a video referee last night)
and toast to his excellent work!

Thanks Gordon (and helpers) for many years excellent enjoyment as a
mere participant in the TC.

I fervently hope that it continues in some form or other. I'd hate to
see yet another ng disappear - I know that there are plenty of forums,
but they're just not the same somehow.

Next time you see me in the pub Gordon I'll buy you a pint.

:-)

Forums, (generally speaking) are absolutely rubbish!!! - No proper
threading, a nightmare to use & track!
Why on earth are they so popular!!?
Am I missing something?

I'd go along with all of that, and just hope as no-one seems to be queueing
up to take over, if all else fails I hope Gordon will have second thoughts.

John.

No as far as I'm concerned you're not - I think they're absolute poooh!

John.

Me too. Thanks yet again Gordon and co.

The deafening silence in response to your request for someone to take
over is a bit worrying. I'm sure a lot would like to help but know that
they couldn't give it anything like the commitment that you have. So,
hope someone steps forward.

As one of the many who have enjoyed participating in the
tipping competition since it was started I'd like to add my
voice to those thanking Gordon and his helpers for all the
hard work they have put in over the years. I think that the
lack of volunteers to take over is a clear reflection that we
all appreciate how time-consuming running it must be.
Maybe we could organise a cooperative, with a different
person collating the results every week - I'd certainly be
willing to do three or four weeks during the season (not
consecutive), but I couldn't commit to running it all. I
wouldn't like to see the competion fade away and die.

I'd be up for that too John.

So that's about a quarter of the SL season covered :-)
