TalkRowing is in meltdown over this. I have to say that the level of
consultation appears to have been laughable, but then I reckon the PLA
probably have the TRRC by the short-&-curlies and their word goes.
As was pointed out on TR, the restrictions start at Barn Elms and
between there and Wandsworth Bridge is well over 2K so there IS room,
albeit not much fun below Putney at high tide. But on the bottom half
of the tide, on a calm early morning or late evening when there's not
too much traffic, it can be pretty pleasant. Steady-staters will have
to launch from St Pauls probably and head up to Richmond.
