My business, Rowperfect used to represent Dreher oars and sculls made by Durham Boat Co in the UK.
They decided to use their Germany subsidiary to sell to the UK and concluded business with us by taking away all remaining stock and agreeing to pay us for it.

The price was agreed, the stock inventoried and taken. This was in May 2011.
They did not pay their bill.

Can anyone reading this can help Rowperfect put pressure onto Christian Zangenberg to settle his company's debts, I'd appreciate advice too. http://bit.ly/10FMfUW

What a nasty affair. What's not quite clear is how much Dreher has
to do with it. It sounded like they were involved in the initial
contract, then by selling the german distributor, extricated
themselves
from responsibility?

The "scorched earth" is tempting, where you simply sent web pages
and emails to everybody telling of this company's dishonesty.

Unfortunately, it's not a good marketing strategy for your own
company, I think.

When I ran my own computer supply company, I had a manufacturer
lie to me about me being exclusive rep for their products at any large
company that I introduced their product to. I opened them
into a large Silicon Valley concern for the first time, selling them
a good amount of stuff at good margin by bringing in good service.
The purchasing agent contacted manufacturer directly, who
instead of kindly directing them back to me for their product,
undercut me by selling direct. Didn't blame the purchasing agent,
he saved some money for his company.

My response was to appear at a trade show where this company
was out marketing to retail outfits, then set up a chair
next to their booth and told every possible client that this
company grossly lied to their dealers.

Heck my company was circling the drain anyway, that
was a fun way to go down!

I'm not sure what value is involved but if under £10,000 then you could try using the online small claims court as I would say that although defendant is not UK based the dispute is occuring in the UK?... I've used it in the past and found it very easy to use but I would imagine enforcement of a judgement in your favour might be more difficult in your situation.

Good luck

Thanks James, Thanks Sully - nice story about going down in flames - you French Fighter Pilot, you!

It stings. But hey, that's life.
