I've just been asked by a Canadian friend to help find a "nice 4+" for
use by a fast Canadian four at Women's Henley.

My friend coaches a crew of now very disappointed ladies who, along with
everyone else at the Canadian Championships, had their racing blown away
by 3 days of high winds. They decided the best response was to move the
high point of their season over here to the UK, but everything is now a
bit of a rush.

If your club has a boat available for 20-23 June which meets that
description, and if they'd be willing to allow its use by this crew,
please get straight back to me with details.

Many thanks -
Carl

Have they tried getting in touch with HWR directly? They have a boat hire section on their website (http://www.hwr.org.uk/competitors/Overseas-crews/Boat-hire) and I'm sure can quickly find a suitable boat.

Further information: crew weight is around 72kg; currently they use
Empacher R44 & R45 (but that's for information only - they need a boat
and will welcome all offers)

(just an FYI - I suspect it was the Canadian Secondary Schools Rowing Association Champs that was blown off the water - very ROUGH conditions on the St. Catharines course all weekend)
