In what way was Reagan so incompetent? Please discuss and give rational
answers, supported by extensive research.

You know buzzwords. Good for you.

Too bad "trickle-down economics" actually led the U.S. to one of its biggest
economic peaks, and provided for one of the most stable periods of
employment in the nation's history. Reagan cut taxes *and* spending while
trimming the size of government, something Dubya doesn't know how to do.

> Massive increases in military spending at the expense of education and
> social services.

IOW, undoing the absolute gutting of the military that took place under the
previous administration, which left the U.S. a global laughing stock and at
the most risk of attack in a century and a half.

This is a serious criticism?

Remember, using wrestling insider terms when discussing politics makes you
look smarter. And if you'll recall, while using your revisionist paintbrush,
Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein were not notorious war criminals or known
terror supporters in 1983.

LOL. You're shitting me. You can say whatever you want about his policies,
but you've got to be joking here. Reagan was probably the greatest speaker
to ever hold public office, both his written material and his ability to

> I know, he's your hero because he appeals to the "nuke 'em all" mindless

In other words, "I hate him because it's the cool anti-Republican thing to
do, but I can't really back up my words."

You might not agree with his politics, but you've listed nothing that
justifies your hatred and cheerleading of his death. Reagan was not just a
President, he was a husband and a father who was admired on a personal level
by both his political enemies and friends.

As someone who has lost a grandfather to Alzheimer's, I hope that nobody has
to ever suffer that. Not even someone with whom I don't share a single
political ideal with. The fact that you politicize his death says all it
needs to about you.

Might have worked, but mega congressional spending (from both parties)
mucked everything up. Still, despite this, the 1980s saw millions of jobs
being created and general prosperity. Remember, a high deficit doesn't
always mean low prosperity. I wish Bush was half the man Reagan was.

That massive increase in military spending basically forced the Soviet Union
into oblivion

Technically ketchup is a vegetable, but as I recall Reagan's budget
crunchers eventually killed the idea.

At least he admitted, despite knowing nothing about it, it happened under
his watch and he was ultimately responsible. He took responsiblity even
when he didn't really need to, and that was pretty damn cool. Clinton would
have done something like "I did not have weapons relations with that group,
the Contras."

They were actually faces back then though. in the 90s they both turned heel
and joined "The Alliance to End Americamania" and the rest is history.

I don't know why some people expect our leaders to be, like, Robopresident
or something. That's why they hire staff, cabinet, etc.

He is my hero because he helped end communism, crumble the Berlin wall, and
make people proud to be Americans. He created millions of new jobs and he
was, admittedly, half crazy, so much so that evil terrorists didn't fuck
with us.

Your arguments are hardly original, they have been repeated ad nausem over

Well said Froggy... well said.

And despite what you believe about his politics, I think every rational
human being can agree that saying "the seventh circle of hell has gained a
new resident" and that he's going to "burn" shows a distinct lack of class.
Anyone who has had to watch someone descend down the path of altezimers can
feel me on this. I just think Nancy is awesome to protect his dignity for
the past 10 years.

We didn't know that until the Soviets fell in 1991. The Soviet Union was
dying, and Ronnie hastened it, he dug the grave and shoved them in.

I can not find any mention of Reagan saying the "N-Word" on any media
source, all he said in regards to Ali was "That draft dodger will never
fight in my state." Please cite references that Reagan did actually say the
n-word.

The famous Welfare Cadillac? You're grasping at straws here. In your mind
it may have had racial connotations, but in no way did his archtypical story
reflect on the African-American families struggling to get a hand up, not a

I Googled that "quote" you pulled out of your ass, and it was found exactly
one time in the whole of usenet: in August of 2002 by Chad Bryant. On the
web, it does not appear a single time.

Okay, let me break it down for the mentally deficient....

Write a fictional story about Reagan saying the n-word, then copyright

A factual quote where somebody says the n-word, no copyright, it's public

Amen to that. Many of Reagan's so-called "enemies" went on public record
talking about how he was a damn good speaker and had such deep, strong,
personal ethics and morals.
