EMLL TV
Skit- Shocker and Bestia Salvaje confront Mascara Año 2000 outside some
sort of horse racing tavern and ask him to join them for their match at
Arena Mexico, as well as to hlp Bestia in his fight with Perro. They
say it's not so easy to be "guapo" and Mascara's girl says she wants him
to show them how Macho he is, so he goes on one of the "bronco" rides and
hangs on for a little while.
[Mr. Niebla], Lizmark, Olimpico v. [Shocker], Mascara Ano 2000, Scorpio
Jr-
Primera Caida- Brutal squash for los rudos as they simply destroy each
technico individually. Shocker crushes Olimpico with a super powerbomb,
and Mascara Ano 2000 pins Niebla with a suplex.
Segunda Caida- The good guys get their come back here, however Shocker
stops their momentum by rolling under the ropes then going up the ramp to
catch his breath and taunt the fans. In result, the match starts to cool
down. Lizmark faces MA2K and gets him with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.
Next Shocker faces Olimpico, and does his "run out of the ropes then come
back in the ring and get a cheapshot" spot. He tries a reverse
powerbomb and gets armdragged out. Olimpico then gets Scorpio to leave
with la segadora that sends him between the ropes and to the floor.
Finally he ducks a big punch from MA2K and makes him go out. In the ring,
Shocker and Scorpio try double clothesline when they whip Niebla to the
ropes, but he ducks under and does a great tope to MA2K who was still
outside. Lizmark finally rolls up Scorpio with a rana and Olimpico pins
Shocker with his bodyscissors into a small package.
Tercera Caida- Rudos are annoyed at the loss, so they go back to the
original single-out-and-trample strategy for a while. The technicos are
able to fight back with a miscommunication that sends Shocker to the
floor. Then the dive sequence starts, Niebla with an awesome Asai back
headbutt to Scorpio, Shocker with a 180 plancha in the corner, then
Olimpico with a pretty good springboard sommersault dive. Lizmark is left
with MA2K, but dropkicks him out rather than the typical pin that happens
after a dive sequence, and decides to go for a plancha. He takes so long
though, that Mascara Ano is able to move out of the way, so Lizmark ends
up hitting his partner Niebla instead. The rudos take advantage of the
miss and put away Olimpico and Lizmark at once with a Shocker diving
splash. [full point] Much better match than I thought it would be. Lots
of good work and
moves.
Skit- Pierroth and Fuerza Guerrera discuss Villano III. Fuerza brings up
the fact that there is a contract to Boriquas, and Pierroth responds in a
fit and says that Villano III will pay for his crimes.
[Villano III], Fuerza Guerrera, Pierroth v. [Rayo de jalisco], Negro
Casas, Atlantis- Before the match starts, Pierroth gets on the mic and
says he wants VIII to denounce Mexico and hail Puerto Rico, but VIII
responds that he doesn't care what they think, he loves the fans and says
"Arriba Mexico!" completely pissing off Pierroth, to the fans delight,
who chant his name.
Primera Caida-Villano and Atlantis start the match off with their
matwork, and Atlantis is winning, so Pierroth enters and kicks him in the
head, just to anger the chivalrous VIII. After a while both guys tag out,
so that it is Negro Casas and Fuerza Guerrera in the ring. They trade
some quick armdrags and stuff, and then it's between Pierroth and Rayo.
Their forms of first fall stuff are chops and comedy respectivley, so
that's what they do, until Rayo gets the upperhand with a powerbomb. VIII
reneters, and shakes hands with Negro Casas, the ultimate
crime in rudodom. Pierroth and Fuerza bail in disgust, and VIII is left
all alone, and is soon pinned with a Casita.
Segunda Caida- This is joined in progress, with Pierroth and Fuerza
isolating Atlantis and holding him off for a cheapshot from VIllano, but
he refuses to do it! This happens, with all three technicos, so Pierroth
has enough and kicks low on Rayo getting DQed. They then beat down
Villano with El Boriqua(The unknown masked non-wrestler in the stable),
and hold him off, and Pierroth uses eletric car cables on him(sparks flew
off, good special effects)! Qué rudo! So Villano's face turn is
complete... [.25] for the match, more of an angle than
anything else, it was handled very well though, more on that later.
MOMENTOS ESTARLES
The rudo- Halcon Negro uses a top-rope fireman's carry into a slam on
Mascara Magica.
It's painful- Wagner uses stiff dropkick to the face on Negro Casas.
It's Dramatic- Tarzan boy blows an over the top rope dive.
It's spectacular- Tigre Blanco hits Virus with an apron over the post
sommersault dive. Awesome move.
The Move- Virus hits a tope con hilo on Tigre Blanco.
Skit- Perro Aguayo visits a sick kid in the hospital and gives him a
present. Aww.
Main Event: CABARELLA CONTRA CABARELLA: Bestia Salvaje(seconds: Shocker &
Scorpio Jr.[who were thrown out, and replaced with Mascara Ano 2000]) v.
Perro Aguayo(second: Tony Rivera)-
Primera Caida- All Bestia, who wins with a missile dropkick.
Segunda Caida- Bestia remains in control, but Perro fights back. MA2K
pulls him out, and holds him for a Bestia tope, but Perro moves and the
rudos connect. Perro then does a "senton ala aguayina" or thesz press off
the apron, and goes for the win with a Cristo hold, but MA2K enters the
ring and whacks Perro with a bottle, like he did in their last feud years
ago. That's the second time EMLL's run the bottle-smash angle this
year...
Tercera Caida- The point of the inteference was that Perro was supposed
to take one fall by DQ and lose the next by forfeit, but of course that
isn't going to happen. Perro enters the ring with the crowd behind him,
and takes a DDT and a headbutt, as Bestia is working over the cut. Perro
fights back and makes Bestia bleed, and nearly gets the rudo counted out,
but he makes it back. They trade two counts, Bestia tries the fat assed
senton, but misses, and Perro capitalizes with two painful top-rope Perro
stomps, and the refs stop the match. Eh. [.25]
They tried, but a lot of it was way too slow, and the Año inteference was
kind of lame.
Overall: [1 1/2- 3] Ok stuff. The first match was a suprise but the rest
wasn't that good. On the other hand, I will say the Villano III turn has
worked extremely well, with EMLL having to do very little in the way of
pushing his turn, basically he's just acting like a technico and the fans
are eating it up, and as a result whenever VIII wrestles the
crowd chants his name loudly. EMLL has been extremely successful in their
turns, making potential headliners out of Shocker and VIII, and the only
cost has been them jobbing their own masks. I'd like to see them make a
big star out of Olimpico next since it looks like Santo won't be back
with much regularity at all and they need an athletic masked technico
near the top who can take big bumps and blade. Hell, if they are
paranoid(and smart)they should have infernales Rey Bucanero and Ultimo
Guerrero take the tag titles, then have a big fued with
Olimpico and his frequent tag partner Antifaz.
AAA TV-
Octagoncito/Mascarita Segrada 2000 v. Mini Abismo Negro/Rocky Marvin
Primera Caida- Before the match is funny, as Mini Abismo Negro tried to
pick a fight with AAA's mascot midget polar bear, and so the ref had to
hold him back. Now, in the match, Abismo starts with Mascarita, and
nearly gets rolled up with a perfect rana. Abismo tags and he and Rocky
try a double back bodydrop, but Mascarita counters with a double
faceslam. Next OC wants Abismo so they trade dropkicks, but Abismo makes
him leave, and uses slingshot sommersault bodyblock. Marvin gets rana'd
by MS2000 once, but a second try is turned into a ligerbomb, for the win,
as OC is counted out.
Segunda Caida- In this fall, MS begins by schooling Marvin with some
headscissors, and tags out, so OC and Abismito can go at it again. OC
uses segadora, and a frankensteiner, and then a quebradora. He follows
Abismo out with an over the top rope corkscrew plancha!! Next, Marvin
whips Segrada into the corner, but his corner charge misses, so the rudo
goes to the floor the hardway, only to be hit with a moonsault plancha
from the mini! The rudos get counted out.
Tercera Caida- Joined in progress, with Mascarita hitting a flying
frankensteiner to the floor! Meanwhile, Octagoncito gets a bodyslam and
tries the springboard corkscrew plancha, but Marvin moves and rolls him
up with a Casita, for the win, as I assume both Abismo and Mascarita were
counted out. [full point] The usual great highspot fest from these guys.
Marvin asks for a title match after the match.
Los Diabolicos v. Pegasso, Pathfinder, [Oscar Sevilla]- PEGASSO~<LUCHADOR
SIN NOMBRE~> Pathfinder has a new outfit too, it's black and orange and
neon yellow and cool looking. This should be a great
highspot match...
Primera Caida- This is a complete Diabolico squash, as they get
Pathfinder with a powerslam but then after Pegasso with a triple spiked
sitting powerbomb from hell, put the boots to him and get DQed..
Segunda Caida- The technicos fight back, as two of the Diabolicos take
nasty post shots from Pegasso and Sevilla. They decide to work a match,
as Pathfinder starts with one of the Diabolicos, outquicking him and
using some great armdrags. Next, it's Sevilla's turn, but he really
doesn't do anything, until a clohtesline outside is reversed into Sevilla
ramming one of the Diabolicos nuts first into the poll. In the ring,
Pegasso works his great acrobatics that the Diabolicos specialize in
selling for. Then everyone goes in and they work some great
six-man spots, with Diabolicos going to the outside, prone for triple
tope suicidas. The rudos fight back though, and score pins on Sevilla and
Pegasso with fast counts.
Tercera Caida- CLipped right to the finish, just to piss us off.
Pathfinder does his handspring moonsault dive for the first time in like
six months, finishing a dive sequence. In the ring is Sevilla and Angel
Mortal left. Sevilla goes up top, gets crotched though, and the refs
ignore it, and in fact fast count for the rudo, giving him the win for
his team. [.75] This was pretty good while it lasted but the clipping was
inexcusable.
Hijo de Perro Aguayo, La Parka Jr., Hector Garza v. Espectro Jr., El
Toro, and Texano- Note I'm calling El Toro this because that his nickname
as I don't have his real name on hand. He's one of the remaing
Kickboxing guys left in AAA.
Primera Caida- It starts with some brawling, but then Espectro and Toro
try to whip Parka and Garza into each other, it is reversed, and then the
technicos use dropkicks that send the guys out, and follow with dual
topes! In the ring, Perro gets a great rana on Texano, but the rudo kicks
out. Perro tries the spot again and Texano does a 'Fuerza Punt' and pins
Perro. Parka gets beat on and pinned with a ligerbomb.
Segunda Caida- Joined in progress, as Perro and Parka are using chair
shots. I think the technicos got DQed but I can't be certain as Toro was
choking Garza in the ropes and the ref pulled him off and raised his arm.
[.25] for the first caida.
Main Event: Mr. Athenas, Bobby Lee Jr., Espiritu, Kalungo v. Psicosis,
Histeria, Mosco, Maniaco (Cage; Last one in loses mask or hair) I have no
idea why this match is happeneing, the technico team is made up of all
undercard guys who have no feud with Vipers Atomicos, or at least none
that I have seen. 3 Vipers all got out very quick, which left Kalungo and
Bobby Lee, and Mosco del Merced. The Vipers went back into save their
partner, as did the other team, more back and forth cage climbing,
Kalungo, Maniaco, and Boby were left, Espiritu tried to assist Kalungo by
throwing something in Maniaco's eye, but Maniaco ducked and was
able to escape and Kalungo got a free hair cut. There was also the usual
after match craziness where a bunch
of guys run-in and brawl. [0]
Overall: [2/4] Pretty much an average week. I have nothing to say
otherwise.
