EMLL-
----

Rectangle of tag teams( Winners of first two one-fall matches face off in
third match)[Taped @ Arena Coliseo]- The teams were Perro & Atlantis,
VIllano III & Brazo del Plata, Universo & Cien, and Mascara Ano 2000 &
Blue Panther. The final, had Perro and Atlantis take on Cien and
Universo, and featured run ins from the usual old farts, to set up Perro
Aguayo asking for their match to be in the cage.

Now we go to the hospital, where Antifaz and Safari get word that Felino
is injured with a jaw fracture, caused by the Black Warrior. Wanna know
how he got that? Meltzer says they legit fought and BW just kicked his
ass bad. Guess that's what happens when you mess with the best. Anyway,
Felino tells them to take care of things for him while he's out, and they
reply by vowing to makes Los Laguneros (Warrior and Panther, named for
The Lagoon in Torreon Mexico where all these great wrestlers originate
from) suffer in the Carnival de Muerte at the PPV.

Black Warrior, [Apollo Dantes], Satanico v. Lizmark Jr, [Lizmark Sr],
Olimpico- The first fall is just your basic beatdown by the rudos. Black
Warrior and Olimpico spent some time ripping at the masks throughout the
match, since they both had a spot in the PPV mask tournament. Satanico
and BW scored the submissions for their teams on Lizmark Sr and Olimpico,
respectivley, with double armbars. The second fall shifts the momentum to
the tecnicos, who rally behind Olimpico hitting a springboard plancha on
Black Warrior. Lizmarks were able to hit their finishers, the huracanrana
and powerbomb on the rudos in the ring to even the falls up. Third fall
had lots of focus on Olimpico and El Black, who traded holds and
counterholds out of huracanranas and susnet flips to good crowd heat.
Eventually Olimpico was able to move out of the way of Black's killer
elbowdrop from the top rope and lock on the cristo invertido(double
underhook facelock with leglock with opponent upside down in the air) to
make him submit. It looked like the finish wouldn't be long for the other
heels involved, but Black Warrior illegally reentered the ring and
whacked Olimpico, then ripped his mask clean off by the eyes to get his
team DQed.

[SHOCKER], Scorpio Jr, Bestia Salvaje v. [Negro Casas], Mr Niebla,
[Emilio Charles- This is Negro Casas' first match since returning from
NJPW. The first fall is edited, to where EMilio Charles hits Shockers'
partners who are ducking nearbye, causing them to slap him hard. He then
responds by teasing a walkout, to a nice heel pop from the crowd. Upon
reentrance to the ring, Mr. Niebla takes him down and slaps on the
Neblina, and he is forced to quit. Seconds later Bestia eats a Charles
flying dropkick and is pinned. Niebla adds insult to injury by taking
pressure off his hold, and then giving Shocker a swift kick in the ass,
making him hide behind the referees like Eddy Guerrero used to do before
he decided to stop being cool and start concentrating on "Whifficizing"
his persona. Second fall has a heat spot on Niebla, who gets to do his
usual spots with Shocker, including sending him on a 720 degree
horizontal twist with a shoulderblock. The guapos have enough of losing
and decide to take over the match, destroying Niebla with a superplex/
superfly splash combo. Bestia Salvaje then pins Emilio Charles with a
fatass senton from the top. The third fall was also clipped, to where the
tecnicos get the standard superhuman comeback. Niebla beats Scorpio with
a moonsault and Shocker says uncle to an EMilio bow-and-arrow hold.

M O M E N T O S    E S T A R L E S

Combination- Alan Stone and Moto Cross hit stero tope con hilos on Solar
2 and Brandon

Hold- Ringo actually impresses me for once, making Black Warrior submit
to a incredibly painful mauever, where his shoulders were crucifixed over
Ringo's arm and under his leg, while leaning over, but also his leg was
being yanked at. Hard to explain, but ouch.

Spectacular- Cicloncito Ramierez hits a tope sucidia out of the corner.

Insolate- Wagner dropkicks Rayo right in the leg.

Punishment- Pierroth goes shoulder first into the rampway CMLL logo,
shattering it.

MAIN EVENT: Dr. Wagner Jr. v. Rayo de Jalisco Jr.- Wagner wastes no time
in attacking Rayo, charging him up the ramp, smashing him in the face
with the elbow, and then destroying his hat.  What follows is a long and
dramatic but not particularly interesting brawl, with Rayo taking the
fall after his trademark back headbuttt and legdrop. The second fall is
more of the same, with Wagner getting the duke after a Wagnercutter and
small package hold. The third fall continues the barroom brawl around
ringside, except finally Rayo decides to juice. He gets Wagner back in
the ring, struggles for La Tapitia, and gets it, but Wagner won't give
up. The evil doctor suprises Rayo with a small package for a nearfall,
but keeps on the attack with the always lethal dropkick to the kneecap.
He goes for the Wagner Driver, but Rayo is still too fat so he is able to
counter with a roll up.  They do the double clothesline spot, with the
ref also going down. Wagner uses the oppurtunity to go for the patented
kick to the happy area, Rayo blocks, a second kick as well, whoops, there
goes Rayo's mask, and as he covers his face, the rudo covers and gets the
match.

AAA-
---

Estrellita, Cinthia Moreno, Princess Sujie v. Rosy Moreno, Miss Janeth,
Tiffany- Nice to see this rematch from last week's encounter. The match
is basically the same, quality action these gals always put out, with the
heels controlling the early part of the match, faces coming back, and
then a long period of nearfalls and broken pins. The finish was, of
course, lame with the Brujas putting the boots to Tiffany to get
themselves DQed.

Kahoz, [Jerry Estrada], Imbomito, Panther v. SUper Crazzy, Mascara
Segrada, Latin Lover, [Sangre Chicana]- The first fall opens up with some
nice matwork from each wrestler. Jerry Estrada and Super Crazzy begin,
and then later end the fall abruptly, as Crazzy pins him with a sunset
flip out of the corner, ala Booker T. Crazzy's teamates soon follow with
their finishers on random rudos who walk into them. To put it in the
words of the rudos' commentator, the second fall is very quick, as he
says "Ya ganaron"(They already won), and just like that we are tied at a
fall a piece, as Estrada ties up CRazzy in an armbar stretch. The third
fall rejions the action as Crazzy does a quebrada to the floor, missing
his moving targe Idominto but landing on his feet. Segrada soon follows
with a sommersault dive onto the Panther. The tecnicos looked to wrap
things up as Latin Lover had the Panther in a halfcrab, but Idominito
saved his partners from pinfall defeat by low blowing Crazzy and getting
DQed.

CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS TOURNAMENT: Champions of Champions is AAA's most
prestigious title, defended once a year by the current champ against the
winner of a tournament. The brackets were determined by battle royal
elimination.

Most of these matches are clipped to the finish.
Hector Garza v. Espectro Jr.- Garza did a wild tope, which Espectro for
some reason neglected to catch the brunt of. Garza beats the count back
to the ring.
Abismo Negro v. El Alebrije- Alebrije gets Abismo up in la reinera
torture rack, and thinks he has won. He celebrates the win too soon, as
ABismo never submitted, instead got up and put Alebrije in a surfboard
and made him submit.
Electro Suck v. Heavy metal- AFter hitting a tope con hilo, Heavy throws
Suck back in the ring and rolls him up with the casita to advance.
Pirata Morgan v. Canek- Pirata rips off Canek's mask and pins him.

Hector Garza v. Abismo Negro- ABismo and heel ref Tirantes get in a
shoving match,  so Abismo simply has enough and gives him the tombstone
piledriver! Garza advances via DQ.
Heavy Metal v. Pirata Morgan- Hevay Metal was in rare form here, hitting
a great moonsault dive out to the floor. He put Pirata back in the ring
and used the Casita to score the pinfall.

Hector Garza v. Hevay Metal- So here we have two of the top tecnicos in
AAA, both of which get major face heat from the ladies. They do a
sequence of nearfalls, with both guys trading casitas, and thus Garza
almost pinning Metal with his own, and family's finishing hold. This
angers him, I guesss since he doesn't want to be shown up, and Metal
gives Garza a blatant low blow and gets DQed by his own father, the ref
Pepe Casas

Pathfinder, Boby Lee, Pegasso, Mascara Segrada Jr v. Los Vatos Locos-
Only highlights of the last fall aired. Pegasso and Lee hit great dives
out to the floor, as their teamates got Nygma and May Flowers in full
nelsons. Charly Manson sees that his team is about to lose, and does the
only thing he can do, fake that Bobby Lee gave him a low blow. The ref
believes him and Vatos take the match.

CIbernetico(C) v. Hector Garza- For the Champions of CHampions title. Yet
another match edited to the finish, with Garza hitting a great plancha
out onto CIbernetico. The match was a double countout, so Ciber retains I
think.

Overall
---

EMLL was fairly unexciting this week. However, that's the usual for cards
before the big Arena Mexico shows as EMLL tends not to book anything
special at that time for some reason. The editing was much improved, as
most matches took an entire programming segment of 15-20 minutes, so it
seems like the shmuck who thought it'd be good to have 10 commercials a
show has been given the boot.

AAA could have been much better, but they had too much to show in a 1 and
a half hour long time slot.
