This fucking book rules, even after reading it the 3rd time. I dont know,
something about the way Nick introduces the man into the story is just so
cool.

Not a fan, personally. Struggled to finish it. I just couldn't bring myself
to care about anybody or anything in that story.

Agreed. This is one of those books that even high school students seem to
enjoy when they have to read it. I'll take a Gatsby over that overrated
hack Shakespeare any day.

Obviously, Peck. You never tried to read Sister Carrie. Dreiser takes a book
with loads of potential and reduces it to a tedious soap opera.

Or Robinson Crusoe. Why exactly am I supposed to care about a book when it only
has one character in it for three quarters of the story?

The last big book Phil/Sammy/Terry Jr read was "Mein Kampf". Then he gave up
after one page after concluding "Yeah, man, Hitler was cool" and went back to
Curious George.

An ineffective, crude attempt at a comeback. Also, patently stupid due to the
fact I work in a bookstore. Phil gets a .5 on the flame scale.

Dickens rules. If you don't like "A Tale of Two Cities", you don't deserve
