Except the President has stated so...

FIVE. DIFFERENT. TIMES.

Yeah I know, Cheney loves the sound of his own voice...don't think he
has the balls to go on Rachel's show for fear of being pVVn3d.

May the new decade be better than the old one. Because frankly the
Oughts sucked!

I used to have a handle on life, then it broke.

Check the quotes. Obama never uses the term "we are at war against
terrorists." The closest he comes is to saying we are at war with
"terrorist organizations." That's it. None of those other quotes say
that we are at war against terrorists. You, and the author of this
inaccurate piece of trash, need to get it right -- like Cheney did.

Obviously you never read the article which included:

In a March 2009 speech: He said that people might ask why the United
States is at war and said, "Al-Qaida and its allies, the terrorists who
planned and supported the 9/11 attacks, are in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Multiple intelligence estimates have warned that al-Qaida is actively
planning attacks on the United States homeland from its safe haven in
Pakistan."

Suggestion: Your eye doctor, you need to go there...tomorrow.

Really? REALLY!? You took the time to actually type out that
stupidity? I could actually feel my brain cells shrivel and die
trying to decide if you were serious. Then I could feel them
commit suicide when they decided you were. That is quite possibly
the most mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging, ass-backwards, sub-
retard thing I have ever EVER seen anyone type. And I've hung out
on Truther forums.

Please die in the next convenient fire and take your hairsplitting
FAIL with you.

Again, where does he say, "We are at war with terrorists?" He is
fudging. He thinks this is simply a criminal thing -- not a war.
That's why he would NEVER, EVER just come out and say that "we are at
war with terrorists" because being at war with somebody denotes total
dedication to their total destruction and that sure isn't Obama. He'd
rather cut a deal with them than make war against them.

"We made a decision after 9/11 that I think was crucial. We said,
'This is a war - it's not a law enforcement problem,' " Mr. Cheney
said. "Once you go into a wartime situation and it's a strategic
threat, then you use all of your assets to go after the enemy ... you
use your intelligence resources, your military resources, your
financial resources, everything you can in order to shut down that
terrorist threat against you.

"When you go back to the law enforcement mode, which is what I sense
they're doing, closing Guantanamo and so forth, they are very much
giving up that center of attention and focus that's required, and that
concept of military threat that's essential if you're going to
successfully defend the nation against further attacks," he said.
\
He described the Obama administration as priding itself "on searching
for some kind of middle ground in policies addressing terrorism."

"But in the fight against terrorism, there is no middle ground, and
half-measures keep you half exposed," he said. "You cannot keep just
some nuclear-armed terrorists out of the United States; you must keep
every nuclear-armed terrorist out of the United States."

He said the Bush administration's tough anti-terrorism policies were
"absolutely essential" to the military's ability to gather the
intelligence that helped foil "all further attempts to launch attacks
against the United States since 9/11."

Cheney added: "President Obama campaigned against it all across the
country. And now he is making some choices that, in my mind, will, in
fact, raise the risk to the American people of another attack."

Obama has suspended military trials for suspected terrorists and
announced he will close the U.S. detention facility at Guantanamo Bay,
Cuba, as well as overseas sites where the CIA has held some detainees.
The president also ordered CIA interrogators to abide by the U.S. Army
Field Manual's regulations for treatment of detainees and denounced
waterboarding, part of the Bush program of enhanced interrogation, as
torture.

Asked if he thought Obama has made Americans less safe with those
actions, Cheney replied, "I do."

Here here.

"(We) are at war and when President Obama pretends we aren't, it makes
us less safe," Cheney said.

"Why doesn't he want to admit we're at war? It doesn't fit with the
view of the world he brought with him to the Oval Office."

Saying it is one thing. Doing something about it is another. Obama has
dealt with this like it's just a crime rather than a war. That's
exactly what Cheney is saying. And he is right on. You obviously
either don't understand it or don't want to understand it. That
doesn't make ME stupid. But then again, in regards to you ...

No, swallowing that bullshit whole without a single critical thought
going towards it makes you stupid.

Though to be fair, simply mindlessly quoting said bullshit only makes
you *look* stupid.

They ARE criminals, you dumbass. But you don't cut deals with them, unlike
maybe what your Bush cartel would've done. You grab 'em and THEN decide what
you want to do with them. Not send them guns like Dubya's daddy did.
