Welcome to fWo Wrasslin', the newsletter that is the "Mystery
Science Theatre 3000 of wrestling."
I should note that this is not an info sheet. I get very
little backstage info, and this newsletter is more like a running
commentary. Currently there are about 300 infosheets available
through the newsgroups, and thousands of wrestling websites where you
can get a simple play-by-play of events. This is MY newsletter and I
reserve the right to put my opinion wherever the hell I feel like it
:).

From: proark1 <pro...@airmail.net>

At the start of the show, they gave out the list of
tonight's matches. I wrote them down, and then wrote
down the results of each. I was 95% right. I was feeling
all smug, then I realized there wasn't anyone that
*couldn't* do this. :) [Ferral: Expect maybe ol'
Tony Ski-Vonni.]

Bam Bam Bigelow d. Scott Putski
A shocking upset.

Norman Smiley d. Prince Maki-Maki
The defining 20 min. time killer match. I stopped the tape three
times in this match to do other things. Come on, I actually was
watching a wrestling match and chose to wash dishes instead.
[Ferral: God as my witness, I read this and thought it said,
"Wash my dresses." Paul's really into the Saturn match, I see.]

Jimmy Hart interview.
Someone told me Hart used to be in a famous
band in the 60's. Can anyone tell me if this is true?
He announces that the Barbarian and Meng are
a tag team again. Welcome back to booking, Hogan.

Eric recap.
I have to give Eric credit for playing along with this
angle. I don't give him credit for much, but allowing himself
to look this bad for the sake of angle deserves a little respect.

Chris Jericho d. Van Hammer
Chris gets on the mic and sets up his job to Saturn.
Van Hammer actually puts in some good work here.

Helper: Goldberg's Monday interview.

Meng/Barbarian vs. Mike Enos/Bobby Duncam Jr.
Part of the tag team tournament. NWO run in. Hogan says we won't
be hearing Konan's speech anymore. I did not think there was
*anything* that could make me like Hogan, but I will have to buy
a Hogan shirt if he keeps this promise. [Ferral: After making "Assault
on Devil's Island," I figured that he owed US this as a gesture
of payback.]

Wrath d. El Dandy
Wrath no-sells a full on slap in the face that looked brutal.
Bam Bam run in.

Helper: Summery of all of Monday.

Disco Inferno d. Super Calo
Hall uses the stun gun on Calo.
Says Hogan and Nash want to talk to Disco in the back.
Mouths off about Goldberg.

Mongo/Benoit d. Windham/Hennig
Hennig uses a chair on the ref, and then everyone else.
Ric Flair runs in. Sells the cheap shot.
Here comes his kid, who covers Flair instead of fighting.
No scientific study needed; Charisma is not hereditary.

Overall: I get the feeling Souled Out is a write off,
cause they sure made no effort to sell it here.
It should be mandatory Chastity be on every show from now on.

Extra stuff:
I have received a lot of very supportive e-mails about my no
smoking rant, but after I read it, I didn't like it much. I
sounded to whiney, like those public service spots or something.
So let me re-write it here.
Of all the stupid things I have ever done,
the only one that I don't recommend trying
at least once is smoking. :)

See you next week,
Paul

*"THAT'S IT! WE'RE OUT OF TIME!"

I forgot to tell you who I met the other night.
Keenan Ivory Wayens, from In Living Color.
He was in the club.
The front door girl had him sign her tits. (Yes, really.)

So when he walked past the DJ booth,
I yelled "Excuse me, sir?"
So he comes over there.
So I say
"Would please sign MY tits, too?"

No, really, this all happened! :)

Kudos fWo prez. My name is Josh Gillespie. My best friends name is
Mark Smith. Yeah, the one we all know and love. I have been watching
WWF PPV's with him for about a year now (been watching wrestling longer
:)) and he was almost always taking notes down for his "newsletter" he
helps write. Well, he finally had me added to the mailing list about a
week ago and I am very glad that he did. The letter is informative(
hahaha ) and VERY funny. It's kinda like there should be an "fWo"
announcers table at the WWF events for all of the people who want to get
to hear the lighter side of wrestling. Anyways, I really like the fWo
and hope that it continues to show up in my mailbox for a while.
Josh

From: Paul Roark <pro...@airmail.net>

Welcome to the Thunder report.

Sign O' The Times:
Thursday Night Ralphus

Announcers talk it up. [Ferral: Surefire way to make sure Tony keeps quiet:
Keep a plateful of donuts on the announcer's booth.]

Hugh Morris d. Psychosis
Boring. These two could have put on a decent show, at least
a lot better then this one.

Helper: Last week's job squad.

Jericho d. Silver King
Jericho really lets Silver King look good before the job.
Decent match.

Helper: Rerun of the Flair package.

Fit Finley d. Super Calo
Tony actually tells the other two to quit talking about
other stuff and call the match!!! [Ferral: That's the second time. If he
keeps this up then Uncle Eric is gonna fire him!]
Pretty much a squash.

Duncam/Enos vs. Wrath/Van Hammer
Disco has laid out Van Hammer in the back, so it's Hall/Nash d. Duncam/Enos
Doesn't take long either. Same old Hall and Nash script.

Disco Inferno d. Hector Garza
Wasn't bad.

Helper: Re-run of all of Monday. [Ferral: Once again, I reiterate there is
something intrinsically WRONG with calling RAW bad because it is a taped
show, when your show is 50 percent taped footage that you have already
seen.]

Bam Bam Bigelow d. Kaz Hayashi
Oh, this is a fair fight.
Total squash.

Konan/Mysterio Jr. d. Hall/Nash
It must be great to be so big in your company that
no one tells you how stupid you look pointing at your dick.
NWO run-in.

Overall: It was good to see the luchas in so many matchs, but
it sucked seeing them job in all of them.
The rest was the Hall and Nash show, so you can imagine
how much I liked that.

See you next week.
