Panasonic sponsored 3D coverage of the Olympics, many of the events and the
opening and closing ceremonies. They were delayed about 24 hours. Panasonic
had the BBC do it.
I just watched the closing ceremonies and WOW!! Absolutely spectacular in
3D.
I have a projector system with a 9 foot screen and it was one of best
things I have seen in 3D.
The added picture depth in the huge stadium made it much, much better than
NBC's 2D.
At one point when the camera moved through flurry of confetti I thought I
would have vacuum my carpet again, even though I had just done it a couple
of hours before - the confetti was flowing out of the screen.
And unlike NBC's coverage, nothing was cut out - it was all there in 3D
glory. I got to see Running Up that Hill by Kate Bush and the other things
that were missing from NBC's coverage.
