I met a guy in Kentucky who is a Sports Psychologist, Gerald Walford,
who specializes in Golf. He's also a working PGA of America Golf
Professional. ...and a college professor in the area of physical
education. He was even a pro hockey player once...and he is in fact a
better golfer than Annika1980, despite being over 70 years
old...despite 3 hip replacement surgeries...which he probably couldn't
have had in Canada because there is no way the govt would have
approved 3! and he is a Canadian to boot!

He has written some golf literature, but his most recently released
book "The Golf Superbook" is his best synthesis yet. The style is more
down to earth and understandable than most of these books, and is not
written because he advises some neurotic PGA Tour Pro, but from the
perspective of someone who works with ordinary golfers like me.

This kind of thing does more for me than anything else because all
"lessons" do is get me to focus on what I do wrong, and that is just
plain dumb. Even Tiger Woods still does the same things wrong he has
always done (like bob his head). You have to learn to play the game as
well as you can with what you got, not try to be something you are
not.

I kinda doubt that!

Ain't too many 70 year-olds can play this old boy straight up.

You'd better have a lot of confidence in your ability to break 75
pretty much anytime then. His thing is his short game, FWIW. If you
had his short game with the long game you have you'd kick the butts of
any amateur golfers you'd run into.
