I don’t much care that when Romney was in high school he pinned a gay
kid to the floor and cut his hair. Boys will be boys. What gets me is
that he says he doesn’t remember doing it. The other kids who
participated in that incident, quoted by name in the Washington Post,
said they remembered it well and still felt badly about it. One of
them said he had run into the victim 30 years later and felt compelled
to apologize. Either Romney is lying or he has no conscience. Or both.
I say both. He has proven to be a prolific liar during his campaign.
And he seems to think his upper class upbringing entitles him to do
and say anything he wants because he’s better than everyone else. Just
like the Kennedys.

Do you remember each and every day of your life? Do you remember each
and every activity you have ever performed? Most of us don't.

OK, so when Obama openly admits his typical youthful indiscretions in

Romney indulges in the worst kind of hazing/bullying, he gets a free

In other words, Obama can do anything and you're OK with it. You have
to go all the way back to high school to get anything on Mitt Romney
and you expect us to react like he's a felon. Typical leftist.

If you had read my post before responding to it, you'd see that I said
I don't care about what he did in high school. What I do care about is
the fact that he says he doesn't remember the incident, which has to
be a lie. Romney is a prolific liar who will say anything to get
elected, regardless of its veracity. If that's all us guys can come up
with, it's more than enough.

I'm trying to get this bullying thing straight in my mind, and the
comparison to smoking pot is what's bothering me.

There's hardly much done to anyone now for smoking marijuana but if
anyone, kids included, attack someone even to cut their hair it's not
only bullying but assault and battery.

IMO any violence is an incident much more aligned with poor character
than smoking pot. I know, some think its a kid thing...but it
wouldn't be overlooked as such today. In fact there are some
considerations to make this kind of bullying a hate crime.

Riiiiiiiiight.

Because the sister of someone who is bullied would automatically know
more about incident than the one who was...

...you know..

...actually there.

may have done it, but don't remember a specific instance of such
bullying.

I remember a fight with a fellow classmate. I was a football and track
athlete at the time. He was bigger than me, but weak as a kitten. I
let him up. I could have hurt him badly. We met at our 40th HS
reunion. He was friendly and nice as he could be. He even sat with his
wife at our table. I don't even remember what the fight was about. I
fully intend to apologize, mainly because it was such a mismatch. I
would bet if Mitt ever remembers this instance he will feel similar
remorse. It certainly does not DQ him from being POTUS. The left is
really reaching if this is all they have.

Where's a disagreement or hypocrisy here? When you don't have an
answer you just babble. You feel bullied? That certainly isn't
leadership.

Your failure to respond correctly means that you don't have children,
and missed an opportunity to keep your mouth shut about how to raise
them.

Exactly. The national campaign du jour to eliminate bully behavior ignores
the fact that it is the bullies who have the emotional issues.

I think that is why BK supports it.

BK's emotional maturity has been stunted.

the people who they bully develop emotional issues as a consequence of
being bullied. But I suppose you're going to say they're just pussies

In a sense....yeah. "The rain falls on the just and the unjust."
Many people have tough childhoods and many of those choose to get
through it, becoming better people than their parent(s).

OTOH, some choose to be victims...for life...and seek those who cater

I'm hoping that you don't know what the terms bipolar or ADHD mean.

They're developmental or psychiatric problems, not something that you
can just shake off.

Speaking of ass, consider the following video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMANMIe0ZZI

This lady is schizophrenic. She doesn't feel sorry for herself because
she doesn't know she's crazy. It's everyday life to her. As it is for
the bipolar and depressed types John referenced above.

Perhaps along with all the Mexicans we should shoot the mentally ill as
well.

(I think I have already posted this but it is not showing up.)

I'm sure you were equally concerned when Hillary Clinton seemed to
have a huge hole in her memory regarding her tenure at the Rose Law
Firm and her involvement in the Whitewater matter. Seems that she
responded "I don't recall." or similarly over 200 times during that
one appearance to testify. Didn't stop her from ascending from First
Lady to Senator from New York and Secretary of State. But wait, she is
a liberal and a Democrat so the leftists' double standard applies.

A Republican like Romney? Liberals demand that he must recall every
detail of his life. Especially if he asserted his physical superiority
over some poor sissy who happened to cross his path. He must confess
his sins and step aside because of them. As if...............

I had not thought of that guy or that fight in decades. My memory was
only sparked because he and his wife shared a table at our 40th class
reunion. My inability to recall certain things has caused me
embarassment on more than one occasion lately. I will say the problems
are with short term memory and not long term.

I don't know whether to believe Romney's version of this or not. But
at least he didn't fail to "recall" 200+ instances of behavior like
this. And anyone who would allow this supposed incident from Mitt
Romney's teenaged years to change their vote is a moron.

I believe that most liberals think that his failure to remember this
incident says more about Romney than anything else.

Cite your proof that he lied. People demand citations like that from
me all the time. But leftists like you can make all kinds of claims
and it's just fine.

Let's parse words like Hillary Clinton. Lying is saying something that
is false when you know it is false. Only Mitt Romney knows if it is
false. (ie that he remembers or does not.) I'm not deflecting
anything. I am showing what a hypocrite you are. A liberal icon like
Hillary Clinton gets on the stand and says "I don't recall." 200+
times about professional matters and that is fine. Romney says he does
not remember a teenaged incident from 45+ years ago and you are ready
to crucify him over it. Talk about a double standard!

Not much. But I don't know if that's a bad thing. He was
Commander in Chief with bin Laden's death, which was his job. He
didn't get us out of foreign wars.

Most of the stuff that impacts us is the responsibility of Congress.

Everybody else being elected will impact us more in the election that
the president will.

Look up. You got in what was in comparison a totally boring fight in
high school and you remember it like it was yesterday. Meanwhile when
*Romney* was in high school he knocked some gay kid to the ground and
cut off his hair while he lay there crying and begging for help.

So yes, I am claiming that he remembers it just as well as you do yours.

But if it makes you feel any better, I don't think he's any less honest
than Obama. Tactically it would have been smarter to admit it and then
apologize with some speech about the foolishness of youth.

But then he only graduated Cum Laude from Harvard Law, whereas Obama
graduated Magna Cum Laude. Clearly the lies from Obama are going to be
of a higher standard. We should expect nothing less from our Commander
in Chief.

It has been reported on Mike Huckabee's show that Obama had a chance
to take bin Laden out in 2010 and would not give the order. The man is

Of course. Obama has sealed his school records in a vault. Digging through
Romney's school records in the campaign is classic irony.

I won't defend frat boy pranks, but multiple identities and hiding
background records is abnormal behavior for a public figure.

What the hell are you talking about? This story got out because three of

Where is this vault located?

"Frat boy pranks" are usually among frat boys in the same or an
"enemy" frat. I doubt there are many high school fraternities, and
AFAIK nobody has suggested that the victim or Romney was participating
in a frat activity. The incident seems to have all the hallmarks of
bullying.
