How stupid, coming to a golf newsgroup to discuss health care, Obama,
Palin, etc.
Gonna go elsewhere to discuss golf, I give up trying toi convince anyone.
Happy Thanksgiving to all

The problem was your method. Had you just come on board and posted
nothing but golf, there would be those that responded. A constant
barrage of criticism didn't help. There was a time that golf was the
motif here, but that went away about 6 years ago. It wasn't a "life's
work", but a slow degradation of golf interest. Now RSG is
by-and-large a group for golfers to discuss other interests.
If there were more golf related posts it might engender even more golf
related posts. Maybe not.

Except Nov. 3rd this poster posted under the subject - I am gone --
You had a great little golf group here, it hurts me to see what has
happened. Maybe it hurts some of you too!
All day long you hear about politics and suffering, this was a nice place
just to get away from it all.
I am sorry for coming on strong with my message, it was only out of love
for what was once a great virtual community.
Good luck to all, this group will be what you make of it.
Happy New Year and God Bless all of you.

So I expect the poster will not leave......
have a great day!
The problem was that wasn't what his/her point was in the
first place. s/h/it got exactly what s/h/it wanted in the
first place. We should congratulate him/her/it on a success-
ful fishing expedition and move on to the next pointless
argument!
Seriously... there are *very* few newbies on Usenet anymore.
The ones that post as though they are are almost invariably
working an angle.
Very likely. Bigslicer seemed pretty selective in his attacks. I imagine
s/h/it is a sometime regular who has had run-ins with Bobby, among
others. Not that I give a shit one way or the other.

I continue to take people at face value until its obvious that they're
trolls, idiots, or both.

To no avail usually.

I was thinking that too until I checked his posts. He was all over
Ketchum, Dene, BAR, you, Clark, MikeMN, Gray Asphalt and Horvath and
others before he got around to me.
Now, Corky's Nemesis was consistent in aiming at me. He fits your
suggestion more than BigSlicer.
BK
I'm not sure that he ever responded to me personally, though I can't say
I've paid much attention.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
Most of his posts weren't actual responses but harangues. There was
one thread that he started that named you along with several others in
the subject line....and spouted his usual.
>Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
You too...have a good one.

Jackass, you don't discuss golf here, how can you expect others to?
Either be a part of the solution by starting golf related threads or just
leave. I vote leave since you seem incapable of discussing actual golf
content. Take your leadership enema buddy with you.

Those that write a goodbye never do, unfortunately. It's just
attention-seeking.
I have enough of it. I'm leaving this place. Forever...
So many people here e-mailed me privately, pleading with me not to
go....
etc, etc
Funny stuff, johnty! ;-)
How's the weather up your way these days? Better/worse than May?

What's your prediction for usenet, Chris. Think it and/or RSG will be
around another 5 years?
-Greg
I plonked him right away so I'm with you as to not paying any attn.
Who likes a broken record.
Happy Black Friday to you all. I'm considerably poorer today but got
my mom and a couple of others crossed off the Christmas list. Nailed
a nice deal for a 24' Samsung TV for $189. Got my wife all the
seasons of "the Office." She's become a huge fan of that show.
Me....not so much.
-Greg
Yeah. It'll stick around longer than it should.

Hey, Doug.
It's all much worse, I'm afraid. Where I am, we're just getting very
wet and not playing much golf but some areas not far from me have been
devastated by massive flooding, losing homes, businesses etc. This is
on the west coast - I believe the east coast isn't being hit so bad.
Otherwise things going well. Hope all is well with you and yours.
It already has.
